Location perfect on side of Lake Kussharo and with beautiful views from all rooms. Rooms very clean and larger than average for Japan. Room A/C switched off so very warm at nights. Large groups of school children stayed there so sometimes had to queue for quite while to get food at breakfast and dinner. Food prices very expensive, even by Japanese standards.

Great onsen and nice location by the lakeside. Was relatively expensive for what you get (even in Japan). Could have offered wifi in the rooms or, at the least, not nickel and dime you for using their computer in the lobby. Dinner buffet was lacking in quality.
