wifi free bedroom !!!
I love the location of the hotel as it is close to the train station. They also offered free admission up to the Kyoto Tower.
The hotel only offered WiFi in the lobby and the room toilets were awfully small, which would be good for young kids, but thoroughly inconvenient for adults or even senior citizens. The bed was slightly harder, but what I could not accept was the thin duvet that looked neither warm nor clean. It would be a put-off during winter time.
No free breakfast.
The location of the hotel was fantastic. Right next to Kyoto with shopping, trains and buses. Nice staff, and they gave us free tickets to Kyoto tower! Thank you!! Although I didn't end up using the service, they offer bicycle rental with no cost.
The hotel practically had no wifi. They give you an instruction leaflet and that's it. You'll have to set it up and use it in the lobby. Nor worth the price per night I paid for. Lucky was only there for one night.
The best thing about Kyoto Dai-Ni hotel is its location. It's so conveniently situated next to the Kyoto Station that traveling to sightseeing destinations is a breeze. The hotel staff is commendable as well. Most of them speak good english and very accommodating. I sent them email days before our arrival requesting for a morning check-in. I didn't get my request due to strict check-in policy, but getting a reply was good enough. We got to the hotel at noon and managed to check in early than expected. My friend and I stayed in a non-smoking twin sharing room on the 5th floor. It has the basic essentials any traveler would need. I couldn't tell if the room has strong wifi or if the LAN connection is working properly because we didn't use it. We had a wifi router with us throughout our stay in Japan.
The room is pretty small, though. With our luggages stalled on the floor, there wasn't enough space for us to move around anymore. Toilet and bath is capsule sized as well. If you're huge in height and figure, it would be very difficult for you to shower inside. If there's anything really bad I'd experienced, it's the airconditioning/heating facility of the room. Temperature drops to 13deg celcius at night, that's why the heater gets activated, which is fine. But it's become so warm that I couldn't sleep anymore. I woke up sweating at 3am.
Next to kyoto station
Less than 5 minutes walks to Kyoto station and Kyoto tower , for taking bus tour and train tour is very convenient because both are located in Kyoto station , shopping complex , McDonald is just near by.
Good location. Service from staff was good.
Bathtub was quite small to shower in. Wifi only in lobby.
The bed is too soft ,and bouncing.
Very short distance to most local buses, metro and railway lines, including Shinkansen. Fine service by reception staff.
location, helpful staff, quite
flat pillows and hard beds
The room, Wifi sucked big time only available in the lobby for 10 mins, bathtub design-flooded after shower , not well maintained ,etc etc
Location is very close to the Kyoto train station which is great. However, it is hard to find a sign post about your hotel and that I needed to ask local people to show me where the hotel is, although it is close to the station station.
Would be nice to access wifi at room rather than at the lobby. I hope i could see this improvement next time when i visit Kyoto. :)
Good location, reasonable rate, good service
Hotel room and room toilet is too small
Not very clean bathroom and carpet, bed just ok but pillows where not comfy at all, was not that great the room rate too
Large rooms, comfortable beds, the free shuttle from the stations is a bonus, it can also be used for trips into town in the evening.
7/11 next door, no restaurants in vacinity, but no problem as hotel shuttle runs into town every 30 mins
Location, very close to train station
Hotel is typical Japanese old style and room is small
kind staff, big triple room (in Japanese standarts). the shower was clean and quite big too. the location is absolutely fabulous
the fact that the wi-fi is avaliable only at the lounge
Didn't have breakfast
Location is superb.
Super tiny room & toilet Old room & bedsheets makes me uncomfortable.
Friendly personnel, gods location very close to Kyoto station
The very poor phonic characteristics of the rooms, the cleanliness (bath room not properly cleaned), no wifi in the rooms. The high price for such low performance.
- location; - room was nice; - I could fit into the bathroom;
