Royal Park Hotel The Kyoto    

Centerially located to restaurants, shopping, and transportation.

Good room size, free wifi, large shower and bathroom, quiet, great location, good breakfast/bakery shop downstairs, good value for money, pajamas-were cute touch! Would highly recommend.

A little further from Kyoto main station than we thought-small issue though.

The staff was so helpful. The location is perfect for shopping, sightseeing with lot of public transportation lines around. Rooms are cleaned and comfortable. Wifi in room.

Breakfast at the hotel is very expensive.

The hotelroom was large and comfortable with all kinds of amenities you might need. Cleaning is good and prompt. You can order massage to the room between 6pm and 1am. Location 5minutes from metro station,2 min from beautiful river and 1minute from the Shoping Arcade.

Staff do not seem to know the slightest thing about sightseeing and tours..they have some broschures but thats it. Most of them spoke very poor english, and seemed bothered to help you out. The consierge works only weekdays. Its just a "normal comfort hotel" but definitely not worth the price. Room is unpersonal. No room service menu,and the bar closes before 12am..I Asked for a bar recommendation and they told me just to go out and i'll find plenty..i said I want something classy and nicer but they didnt know what to answer,either bar staff or reception (who were not busy) were not replying to me and I could feel their annoyment.

Courteous Staff, Great Location, Clean, New Location. As we travelled during Golden Week, it was double the price that it is normally and the city was bustling with tourists.

This new hotel is right in the heart of downtown Kyoto next to Nishiki Market, the covered shopping streets, the river, Pontocho & many restaurants. A 4 minute walk from Train station and 2 subway stations. Beautiful lobby. Great concierge service. Rooms are sound-proof & very clean. Free wi-fi in your room, not just in lobby.

The hotel entrance and lobby are majestic so the room decoration seemed a bit bland in comparison.

Excellent hotel! Very well decorated and clean. The location is great - next to gion and the center. The staff is very helpful and kind. The rooms are very equiped and well designed. A bit expensive but worth any yen!

The breakfast is expensive, so we ate outside (but there are many options nearby).

Facilities and incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Would highly recommend this hotel. So convenient to everything.

Clean and very convenient location.Bakery next door is very good so is the tofu shop opposite.For those of you looking at this hotel,take it.You will not regret.Gion and Pontocho just nearby.

Everything about this hotel was excellent! Rooms were equipped with everything you might need, including access to laundry facilities. Right in the heart of the city, great value for money. Right next door to the best bakery in town.

Honnetly I see nothing!

The location is great for Kyoto sightseeing with proximity to subway, keihan rail stations as well as several bus lines. The rooms are on the small side, but very clean and comfortable. Bathroom in the deluxe twin room is quite large. The italian restaurant downstairs may not be the best place for breakfast but offers great value and good food for lunch and dinner. The cafe next door is wonderful for breakfast.

Definitely not a cheap place to stay.

Newer hotel with very friendly staff in a great location in central Kyoto. Easy walking distance to Gion neighborhood and easy access to bus lines and subway.

Ecellent location! Super clean and modern. Staff were excellent. Very professional. The concierge service desk did help us alot planning Kyoto sightseeing and made reservation at the restaurant. There's bakery next door which is really good and serve breakfast half the price of hotel buffet. Washer and dryer in the hotel also, which I find it useful.
