view, food (fusion style, not so expensive but also not so good if we compare to the best royokans, we visited) good relation between value and price, good localisation.

staff is not trained, .they are not flexible at all, They have strict roles such as the hours of serving breakfast - even the breakfast is served till 9 AM , they require to show up till 8 30 AM. At 9 05 they started to push us to leave restaurant. due to the lack of english skills you can't expect fully reliable info about . sightseeing.Onsen is to small and very usual.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The dining experience was wonderful. The dining room was surrounded by glass so we had a great view of the area which included Mt. Fuji. The food was beautiful to look at and it was even better to eat. The location is a bit secluded which meant that it was very quiet. But it is very close to one of the ports for the Pirate ship and tram stations. The hotel itself is relatively small so it was not crowded. It was very easy to relax and enjoy our surroundings.

The downside is there is only one onsen for each males and females. It is of simple design and not very large. The upside it that it has a great view of Mt. Fuji.

Beautiful views from every room, Great location; close to Lake Ashinoko and proximity to bus stop (Minami-Onsen-so), Very nice bath, Food in restaurant is so good!!!

You have to book dinner for each night separately (it should be planned from the start)

We loved staying here and our room was great! The view of Mt. Fuji was mostly cloudy but there were moments you could see it (look to the right if the mountains). Would highly recommend this place if you don't mind traveling by bus to get there.

Mt. Fuji!!! What can I say? It was amazing looking out from our balcony. I love the size and decor in the Japanese style room as well. The breakfast buffet was more than sufficient. Kids enjoyed the western style part of the breakfast while we preferred the eastern style part of the breakfast.

This is a good place if you want to experience something different and away from the city.

Transport to the ryokan is much more expensive than regular railway line.

When we arrived in Hakone it was hazy and we were not able to see Mt. Fuji. Around 18:30 (at the end of May) while we were having dinner the sun went down exactly behind Mt. Fuji projecting its shape out of the haze. Very spectacular sight! On booking.com the toilets are advertised as "shared", but in fact all rooms come with a private toilet.

Compared to other ryokans the food is just average.

Location is very convenient for a site exploring and siteseing (lake boat and voulcano cable car stations are just within 5 min by bus or 15 min by walk). The view at the valley below the window is very nice. Unfortunately Fuji-san was screened by clouds during our stay.

Wi-Fi works in a special room only...

    Hot spring

Make sure check all the transport before u go, the staff & many guide bks said it takes 2-3 hrs from mount Fuji to the hotel, but it took me almost 6 hrs!!! As the last ride of cable car & rope way closed around 6pm, u may stuck in the mid of the mountain or u hv to take a very indirect way by bus
