The Owners were pleasant and gave us some helpful brochures about the area when we arrived as well as bringing a cold tea to our room.The location was as described, close to the station and a 15 min walk from the town centre. The bedding was clean and fresh and the room clean if rather worn.

We were very, very disappointed with the standard of this hotel . On arrival we were taken up a narrow stair case to the top floor where our grimy en suite rooms were. The stair carpet was worn and stained. The stairs were not well lit and difficult to negotiate. The room was very basic with paper window shutters, a couple of hangers on a rail at ceiling height was all the storage provided. There was no means of heating hot water for coffee.We could not make the tv work and the electrical system sparked when used Never did work out how the ancient so called air con system worked but at least it was not so hot that we needed it. The wc door was so close to the pan you could not shut it when you sat on the loo. There was just an opaque glass wall between the wc and the bathroom and no ventilation. Very odd arrangement. The bathroom was very old and stained There was no hot water, you had to ask for it to be put on when you wanted a shower and then wait for it to heat up! We had to be in by 11 when the front doors were locked. The room blighted by industrial noise such as a loud hoist engine that was in constant use from 4 in the morning and what sounded like lorries being loaded. There was evidence of fire notices and our room had a heavy metal door but I still felt vaguely unsafe and concerned about how we would get out if there was a fire. I have stayed in youth hostels across the world and in Japanese style hotels but had not stayed anywhere with these standards for years.This hotel represents extremely poor value for money at 5000 yen per person per night! At 1000 yen a night it would be overpriced. This was akin to a working man's hostel. The owner stopped us as we came in on our second night and we had to pay her before we could go to our room. I guess she has had some people refuse to pay.Due to the language barrier we could not negotiate about anything much..

Das Besitzerehepaar war sehr freundlich und hat uns mit Karten zu weiteren Destinationen ausgeholfen.

Das ältere Betreiberehepaar war wirklich sehr nett, sodass ich eigentlich gar nichts schlechtes sagen möchte. Doch leider ist die Unterkunft sehr in die Jahre gekommen, was allein im Hinblick auf Matratzen und Bettdecken unhygienisch ist. Die Bettbezüge waren zwar frisch gewaschen allerdings dreckig und schmuddelig. Das Bad hatte zwar warmes Wasser, doch leider gab es kein WC sondern nur die japanische Variante mit Rinne am Boden. Ausserdem bekamen wir 6 Uhr morgens einen störenden Telefonanruf auf unser Zimmer und niemand wollte es gewesen sein. Es war die schlechteste Unterkunft unserer Reise.
