The location is good. Near Hachinohe station, although there aren't many restaurants in the area. The room is bigger than most, and the bathroom has a tub. The breakfast is simple but good and delicious. They also have rental bicycles but we didn't get to try it. They have coin laundry and dryer but no public bath.

Old Showa-era Hotel. We stayed in a smoking room and it was not so bad, but those sensitive to smoke smell should avoid. Great location. I'd stay again. Good value for money.

The room was well appointed and adorable, the use of the space was intelligent and effective, the bed and chair was comfortable, the water was hot and the pillows were memory foam and comfy. For the low price it was beyond my expectations.

Similar to most chain hotels but with a more modern and fresh decor. The super bonus was the 3-9pm self service happy hour at the lobby with wines, sake, Sochu, 4 types of liquids and mixers!
Breakfast was good with a nice spread of Japanese breakfast items like rice, soup, pickles, sausages, eggs, breads and spreads etc.

Very nice coastal city with interesting fish markets (where you can make your own seafood rice bowl with fresh local catch or rent a dove to grill shell fish, and buy local goods) and beautiful coastal trail. And there is a direct bus to the Lake Towada and Oriase Trail though it's difficult to book the bus tickets on line unless you know how to type your name in Japanese. Staff of the tourists information center at the station are very very nice and helpful. One gentleman speaks unusual good English.

During rain I think 1 day is enough time to see and experience most things.
I can imagine in better weather the beaches and coastline can be interesting.
There was not a lot to do in the city itself, and trains don't run so often. It is probably advisable to rent a car.
Food/Restaurant choices are limited in hon-hachinohe area. Mostly all izakayas and lots of seafood. It's a great place if you like bar-hopping/standing bars/drinking culture. As a solo-traveller this can be a great way to meet people.

We came at the wrong time, JR was fully booked for where we wanted to visit and their staff should have informed the customer before we purchasing the ticket. We end up wasted $120 USD on 2 people’s JR and rail ticket. Very disappointed at the JR service.
The room was very nice and comfortable. Also, the lobby had a variety of extra pillows you can use, which was cool. The room key system was unique, instead of a keycard, they have numbered code system. You just put in the code to unlock your room. We also had breakfast there, I think I enjoyed the breakfast at another hotel I was at more, but this breakfast operated on a smaller scale, and therefore was decent for what it was. Also, for the room size, the tv was comparably bigger than other places with similar sizing.
the location the area the staff I felt at home traveling through Japan alone I started to become home sick and stopping here was one of my greatest experiences being in Japan I was able to talk to the staff I was taken sight seeing we got ice cream in the morning I learned how to cook cabbage and there’s so many wonderful things I could say but to put it all in few words was the most heartfelt time I’ve had in Japan and when I was leaving for my ferry I was almost i tears because how wonderful it was felt like family
You have to love the location. The hotel is right across the street from Hon Hachinohe station. It takes literally a minute to get there. The hotel is on the older side, which is apparent when they give you a physical key on a keychain. There are no keycards here.
The room is small, but the space is used well. Wifi was good, ac worked well. The bed was comfortable. There was a 711 up the road a little, and some very good local restaurants around the hotel.
I stayed at this hotel for 1 night. It was perfectly clean, and the short walk to the train station was perfect. The room is very small, so I wouldn't want to stay here for more than 1-2 nights. However it was perfect for my needs, which was a clean room near the train station at a good price.
Sorry, o don’t remember the names but the old man and the tall lady in the front desk are very friendly and wonderful staff. Specially, he was very kind and clear about hotel’s rules or services.
The food is nice, I loved the ザクロdrink but everything was delicious 😋
An older hotel in a central part of the town. The roof and doors are quite low, so much that I had to bend to get into the room. The hotel is on the older side ... and this is evident in the carpet, decor, etc. But it is not too shabby either, given the low price.
Hotel location was great. Only a 5 minute walk from the train station.
Room was nice and clean. Small but functional. Bathroom was a regular sized unit bath.
Room had its own heating and cooling which was great in winter.
Super clean hotel. comfortable beds. A choice of pillow. Free PJ’s to use. Deep bath in ensuite. fridge and kettle in room. Air conditioning. charging cables and ports near bed. Study desk and chair. Nice toiletries.
The Hotel has Onsen and provide free soup noodle for supper. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful.
Room size consider big and comfortable. There are many restaurants and convenient store around too.
Old Showa-era Hotel. We stayed in a smoking room and it was not so bad, but those sensitive to smoke smell should avoid. Great location. I'd stay again. Good value for money.
Good location in center of town near izakaya alley. Friendly staff that was very helpful, kind and patient. Decent breakfast spread in clean, basic business hotel.
The hotel has a very good value for money! We even got coupons to spend to the shopping mall and free breakfast. Rooms are ok, the staff was excellent!
This was not a hotel. It was part of a house and more like an Airbnb. It was clean and spacious enough for a family though and the owner was very nice.
