Friendly staffs, walking distance to Shopping malls and restaurants.

Extremely friendly and polite staff and very efficient! Check in and check out was professionally done. Guest relations was even more impressive - I was given clear directions to hotel from airport as it was my first trip to Sapporo. Also he go beyond his call of duty to get me a discount card for my Japanese meal!

Check in at 3rd floor. I'm used to checking in at the ground floor!

Professional staff who speak excellent english. Fabulous breakfast especially the japanese options. Room temperature was perfect and healthy for winter; not too hot.

This place was amazing. Perfect location, comfortable and stylish rooms, and a very helpful staff. Our room was top notch, with a queen bed, lots of room, and a fantastic view. Nothing to complain about here... I highly recommend.

I'd booked Mercure Sapporo Hotel via booking.com in advance more than 1month.Everything was confirmed by email.(same as other hotels) When our group was on the way in Japan .Mercure Sapporo reservation sent email via booking.com, "The payment was unsuccessful if this information is not received within 24 hours, the hotel can cancel your reservation without further notice. Please contact the hotel directly to supply the new details or discuss other payment” Our group try to call back at 8.30am before we move to next destination but someone told, the reservation was not working yet. We leave the message of new credit card number and hotel phone number of next destination and tell her to call back or leave the message if everything is ok or not.But no respond . On February 10th2013 , the night of reservation is in Sapporo snow festival.It is difficult to book the other hotel. Until we move to Mecure Sapporo (but noone knows the reservation is cancelled or not) At front desk said ,the reservation is completed and she say sorry for didn’t call back(but no reason) Is it the process of professional ?Just to say sorry and everything is over about the feeling of anxiety of customers. Next time , Mercure will not be my choice anymore !!!

Rooms are very nice designed. Dark Blown Furniture and Red Electronics. Very comfortable beds and clean and designed bathroom.

Excellent staff, good location, very near to sukisino subway station. Room is clean, comfort and big. Value for money. Right in the heart of city.

Fabulous Continental/New World and Japanese buffet breakfast with fresh fruits, vegetables, pastries, bread and espresso drinks included.

The restaurant for dinner is the stereotype of bad French. Slow, expensive, insufficient food (tiny portions and no additional courses) but beautifully plated and pretty to look at. After $100 we sadly walked down to McDonalds for some calories.

Good quality fittings and fixtures in the room, comfortable bed with with good pillow options. Staff at the counter were a fantastic help for newcomers to the country and had great English and were always polite and friendly.

The bed cover (down doona) was too hot for the room. There were no alternative covers in the room.The air conditioning did not enable adjustment of temperature even though we turned it off. The temperature stayed on 19 degrees all the time. (We had a thermometre). It was too noisy to open the windows at night and the temperature did not drop much over several hours when we did open it once. When we complained, only single blankets were available for our double bed, but sheets were not available, so we used the cover from the doona to act as a sheet. It was a non-smoking room, but the bathroom sometimes smelt of cigarette smoke. Regarding having your towel washed, I think there is some mistake in the translation to English on the little ticket of eco-instructions that sits on the towel rail in the bathroom. It should say that if you hang it on the 'hooks' it will not be washed.

The Guest Relationship Manager is the best and most knowledgeable I've seen so far. Very helpful and know what to recommend when ask for assistance for sight seeing options. It's a "MUST" hotel to Sapporo.

Spacious of Shuttle bus is not good enough for guest with big size of luggage.

Beautiful design, looks very new, wifi in room, very nice food. Great location - shops, restaurants, attractions. 20 min walk to main train station - easy walk

We like the room design and everything in the room looks new and clean. The hotel provide free shuttle to JR station .

Is far to walk to JR station else need to take subway if the shuttle bus timing doesnt suit your plan.
