The location was very good. It is a 5-6 minute walk from the US Navy Base. There is a train stop just outside the hotel. There is a shopping mall right across the street.
room was small
The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The microwave, fridge and kettle were all very handy. So was the flatware and cutlery, which were always replenished everyday.. Clean towels every day with always a sufficient amount provided for the number of people in our party. The front desk staff were always very helpful and accommodating. I needed to borrow an HDMI cable so that I could watch English speaking programs on the internet.. - Shopping mall nearby with 100 yen (dollar) store. - Carousel sushi (Sushiro) just steps away. - Train station just around the corner. - 7/11 International - for foreign exchange - 10-15 mins. away depending on the route you take.
1hr by train from Tokyo. The TV was challenging to get an English channel..
Excellent view of the harbor, well worth the extra few dollars. The hotel room itself was excellent, clean, in a great location. The rooms have everything that you need, including a safe and a fridge in every room. Very nice rooms.
The staff was unhelpful, which is quite rare in Japan. Almost everyone in Japan bends over backwards to make any guest feel welcome and at home, but this staff was cold and unaccommodating with any small request or question.
Helpful staff. Convenient location.
I loved the location of the hotel. It was right next to the train station..2 Mins from the base and in the district of food and shopping areas. The staff were very helpful and respectful and if I needed something done it was done right away! From dinner reservations to extra bedding or towels..my request was completed within 5 mins max!
I think the hotel needs more facilities such as a gym and a pool. Even if there is an extra fee to be charged in order to use the facilities.
The Staff's willingness to assist in any fashion.
Lack of English tv channels (i.e. news)
The Mercure in Yokosuke was ideally situated for our trip. Would defiantly stay again.
The room was a bit small but that didn't bother us as we didn't spend much time there.
I liked the staff was accommodating, it was clean, and location is great! I would recommend.
I don't have any complaints.
very helpful and polite staff. excellent food.good room maintenance
no english speaking tv channels.room very small.
Near to train station, supermarkets, shopping mall, restaurants, park for jogging, Cornish, nice view
First- timers in Yokosuka. A quiet city with a number of tourist's attractions around the area. Hotel is in the center of the city and an acceptable distance to Miura, Enoshima, Kamakura... Great location and price if you have a car.
The Mecure staff were excellent. Very helpful and very courteous. Our stay was very peasant.
Great room! Nice view. Friendly and courteous staff! Clean, clean, clean! Aware of food allergies and how to prevent cross contamination.
the bed was perfect and the lighting is so good for mood setting
the bathroom smelled very strange
Most Japanese hotels I've been, they are not very spacious compare to the rooms in Mercure Hotel. And the cleaniness!
Staff; view from the 17th floor; splendid breakfast; upgraded room
Food was wonderful and it was such a beautiful place and so quite.
Parking was really confusing and expensive for the price of the hotel room. We paid ¥1600 for parking and about $300 for the hotel room.
Staff customer service....great/very professional. The cleanliness of the facility was superb.
Only drinking water available was through vending machines.
I enjoyed the view from the room.
We had to pay for the parking.
Awesome and beautiful hotel. Everything was really nice. King size bed was comfortable and huge.
Wish they had a pool though.
I liked the cleanliness of both the Hotel and The room. The comfort and atmosphere and the fact that Mecure hotel is the best hotel that I've been to in The area of Yokosuka in my Opinion!
I could not connect or get the Wifi to Work!
It was a normal room for Japan. Clean, but small.
Only one English channel on TV, but...it is Japan.
Location from the naval base...
No english channels or programs on cable tv...
I was looking for a hotel in Kamakura. Yokosuka is a pimple on the back side of Kamakura. I was expecting to visit the Great Buddha but had a view of war ships instead. I should have been more fastidious in looking at the maps when making my choice.
