Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo    

Nice location and easy to get to eating establishments, subway and events. Clean and friendly staff but that is normal for japanese establishments.

Price. For one night for one person I felt a little high. I don't travel to Tokyo very much but have lived here for a year. I think that price for two people might have been fully acceptable but if it had not been for our group staying at the hotel I would have looked for a more reasonable price.

I was very disapointed that to use the swimming pool in the hotel , one has to pay. Never in the world did I here of such a thing. Once you are a guest in the hotel, you should be able to use all facilities in the hotel

Hotel staff was polite and prompt, location was fantastic, rooms were clean and cosy.

The walls are a little too thin and the sink was rather small, but no major issues.

Smart large hotel with good facilities, comfortable room although very small ( superior room 17msq) with only small area for hanging clothes, but not unusual for Tokyo. Great view from higher floors. Comfortable bathroom with tub and showerhead. Staff extremely polite and helpful.Convenient location ,short walk to Ikebukuro train station with good connections. Plenty stores and restaurants around. I would certainly return.

Great breakfast buffet although a tad expensive at £19. Popular business hotel too and breakfast can get very busy at peak times around 7 - 8am.

The public areas are very nice... Location is excellent... If you arrive at narita a bus limo will take to the hotel front door,very convinient... Staff is very polite and particularly Mrs Mariko, Guest Mgr... She has an excellent english and can be very helpfull... Metro station is a walking distance and the line connects you to the whole city...

Room very small specially if you have lugagge...few and small drawers as well as place to hang clothes... We wanted to extend our stay in the hotel and they took advantage and " over charged ": we paid for 2 nights more than for the previous 4 reserved thru booking.com

The Metropolitan is in an ideal location next to Ikebukuro station, which is a main terminus including the express train from and to Narita airport. It's a quality hotel with several restaurants, good rooms and very clean. The staff speak good English.

Like other hotels in Japan I've stayed in, the room rate does not include breakfast and the cheapest breakfast at the hotel was 2,500 Yen (around £18.50 gbp) each. However, there are plenty of cafes nearby where we breakfasted for around 1,000 Yen each.

Close to train station, good shopping and lots of restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Our 18 month old was too big for their cots so she had to share our bed.

The staff were superb. The food in the restaurants was very good.

When Check In - Staff took my credit card and pre-authorised my credit card for the bond 150,000yen before advising me. Which turned out a rough check out.

The hotel staff was very friendly and their english at the reception desk is quite good. The room is very clean and well-maintained. The location is very good, near convenience stores and subway station.

The location is excellent - 1 min from Ikebukuro station. The staff very friendly and helpful, speaking English (not usual for Japan), our room was big and very comfortable. Everything was very good

1) Great location: very close to Ikebukuro Station. You Can Yamanote Line (equivalent to Circle Line in London) to get around Tokyo. For those travelling without a guide not too worry you can easily purchase the ticket since the ticket machine is bilingual. 2) A direct airport bus shuttle to the hotel. It will cost you 3000 yen pp one way. Very convenient. 3) Friendly staffs 4) Free WIFI for superior rooms 5) Room & toilet are clean & comfortable. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Very good hotel considering the price, so - good value for money. I would definetely recommend this hotel when shortly visiting Tokyo. Very good location - close to train and subway stations, nice area arround. Quiet big room as for Tokyo standards, and the hotel itself very nice and cosy. We had the room with great view of the city. The staff and service was excellent. Nothing to complain about.

Bar on the 25th floor has good views. Easy access from Ikebukuro Station.

We were given a smoking room, despite requesting no-smoking. Although the room had been "cleaned thoroughly", it still smelt.

5-10 min to rails. next to shopping malls. 2nd busiest area. room spacious, bed is comfy. staffs are friendly and detailed.

The location is very convenience, the best location near Ikebukuro train station you can find so far (1minute walk from metropolitan exit). There's a shuttle bus right from hotel to both airports(Narita and Haneda) with reasonable fee, so convenience that you don't have to drag luggage to the train station (we are big shoppers). The staff are friendly and effective. We stay in superior room with panorama view. The room is quite small (for 3 bed room but will be perfect for 2 people) but still larger than other typical rooms in Japan.
