Located near a well connected station (metro-trains-narita express), near a wealth of places to eat out, excellent shopping (Tobu Lumine). A great all round hotel.
+ feel like home + kind personnel + perfect location + definitely worths for the price (try to make reservation as early as possible) + very clean + easy to get from Narita Airport(by limousine bus or subway. Imho take Keisei Sky Liner. It's faster comfortable and fun. Good way to start your Tokyo trip.) + personnel speak English well enough. + just 1 min away from Ikebukuro station "Metropolitan Hotel/Square" exit. + bed is quite comfortable. Pillows are medium soft.
- No drinkable water for free except tap water if you would like to.
Great location and friendly staff. The buffet breakfast had a lot of choice and the room was clean.
The room was very clean The staff was very friendly The location is good, nearby the train and metrostation. À lot of restaurants around the hotel
Room was à little bit small for three people, asked if they could reserve à bigger room for our next visit, but that is not possible they said.
staff were a bit rude
Hotel has direct access to the Tokyo Railway station. Good location to visit the main highlights of Tokyo. Hotel itself was OK, price and quality in balance, however keep in mind that breakfast and wifi are not included. There is a direct bus connection to the airports.
Not possible to get cash in the hotel - beware that ATM are not prepared for EU banking cards! Drive to Narita airport is 1.5 hr by bus. Can I blame the hotel for the jetlag :-)?
Extremely satisfied - especially with the excellent staff who were friendly and helpful. Centralized location and a five minute walk to JR station meant we could shop & drop off purchases (and rest) often. Family Mart, 7-11 and Lawson convenience stores are nearby. Convenient Airport Limo bus. Will look forward to staying here again in the future.
-Cost of breakfast buffet. -Friend in a different room paid for wi-fi, but it never worked. Staff did investigate, but still unable to use internet.
Young staff were nice and pleasant.
There was a man whose duty was at night. He was not accommodating and made me wait for 30 minutes just to answer if there was a Daiso in the area. Had he told me that he was having difficulty, I would have just gone up to my room and googled it.
Fantastic location for access to the station and links to all the tourist areas and main Tokyo station. Good size room, lovely linens and towels. Friendly hotel staff.
Late check in time of 3.00pm.
The hotel is well located for rail transport and shopping with several major department stores in the area. The train service from Ikebukuro provides easy access to and from Narita airport and central Tokyo as well as other interesting areas such as Shinbuko and Shibuya.
We stayed in a Superior Queen Room which was clean and well furnished. However, the room was too small to be classified as Superior with the double bed being pushed against one wall which made getting into and out of bed difficult and, in an emergency, possibly dangerous.
The location is perfect, the rooms are spotless and comfortable.
I had two bookings, one for a single room for 4 nights and then a double room for 3 nights when my husband joined me. The single room was fine, small but quite adequate. I was then moved to a double room which was much more expensive but hardly bigger, with a small double bed. After numerous discussions, I managed to obtain a double room with 2 single beds against another supplement. This was a rather painful experience as the staff is not always proficient in English.
Lovely hotel with lots of facilities. Shopping and bars and even a bakery. You can see Mount Fuji from the bar on a good day. Rooms were plenty big enough with comfortable beds.
The hotel had building work going on which they knew about at the time of booking. I feel they could have told us at the time we booked to allow us to make a more informed choice. The work started at 0830 which ordinarily would have been fine, but with jetlag it did impede our rest at times. Bar prices were very steep.
close to station and bus to Airport leaves from Hotel easier than going over to Train Station
Small rooms but that is Tokyo
Close to JR and very convinient.
I left my University ring inside the room and it was gone when I came back in the in the afternoon.
Only a 2 minute walk to Ikebukuro train station and the giant Tobu and Seibu department stores. Lots of restaurants around the area to dine in. This was my fourth visit to this hotel and will stay here again.
It was near the metro and in a perfect location. Rooms were clean and well kept. Lots of restaurants and shopping near the hotel. Direct JR line to and from Narita airport.
For the price of the hotel they charged for everything! To use wifi in your room, to access the pool/fitness center. Breakfast Buffet was a little pricey for the food that was offered.
We arrived in the train station with 6 pieces of luggage. Metropolitan Plaza exit was clearly marked in the station to direct us out. Hotel is very near the station, don't be afraid to ask people which direction to go! We arrived an hour early. The hotel usually charges for early check in, but the staff kindly gave us tips about good affordable (all you can eat!) restaurants near the station while we waited in the lounge. Then they got us into our room early without an extra charge (shhh!)! Our teenage son loved the hotel's WiFi connection and the buffet style eating. (We loved the affordable price and that he finally was FULL!) There's a great bar with view on top floor (you get a discount coupon in your room!) This was the first hotel in two weeks we have been in with a western style (LONG!) tub. Everything is squeaky clean! The hotel has a beautiful entrance with a waterfall & bamboo. We took a family photo there and it looks like a studio setting! Shuttle service to Narita airport was very convenient! Only 3,000 yen (apx. $30). We will stay here again and I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
No negatives at all (and we are picky!)
The room was comfortable - and clean. The location was was conveniently located near the train station.
No internet in the room. I had to go to the lobby to retrieve important emails - and even then, it had very poor signal
Great location, very friendly service.
start to have more and more seperate charge like wifi cost...didn't expected to have those cost if I need to pay that room rate.
I like the location.
I thought the room type I booked would be bigger than the one I check~in!!
The room Limousine bus service The lobby The breakfast
The cost of the breakfast
Everything -- location. cleanliness courtesy .style of room. great breakfast , great for all transportation good service to airport great fro shopping lots of variety for eating and clubs nearby
inflexible check in and check out
Everything else. Apart from the female receptionists, all other staff including the bellboys/girls, housekeeping staff and staff in the Japanese restaurant etc were helpful and kind.
Rude female receptionists who sneered whenever they realised our reservation was made through booking.com. They then became singularly unhelpful. We did not encounter this attitude with the male receptionists. Only one female (who exchanged our room keys) was polite.
