Size of room is too small to three of us with an extra bed. Can't open the luggages on the floor as they did not move out the excessive furniture Wifi too slow
The hotel is a short 10-minute walk away from Ikebukuro station, which means you can quickly and easily hop onto all sorts of local and express JR and subway lines. The area around the hotel is packed with good restaurants, and the hotel itself is nice with helpful staff.
Sometimes taking a shower was a bit challenging, since there was no fixed showerhead but rather a place to hang up the hand-held shower hose attachment, and the force of the shower stream kept twisting the hand-held unit out of position.
Nice location across the subway. Across tobu shopping mall, plenty of restaurant to choose from. There is also a 24 hour restaurant few steps away from the hotel so even after arriving late from tours you get to eat hot meal. Bed is firm and comfy. Room is not that big but ok for 3 adult and 1 child with 2 big suitcases and 2 small ones. If given the chance to come back will surely stay there again.
Wifi not free need to pay ¥500 for the duration of your stay for 3 gadgets (not bad akready)
Location and value for money
Standard room is tiny
This hotel location is in Ikebukuro. It is not so crowd like Shinjuku. It give us a feel that we are in the mixture of business area on day time and quiet/tranquility area at night time. Staff is extremely helpful. He notices that we need to find some places to wander before checking in at 3:00 pm. He walks to us without asking for help and recommends the place to visit, where to eat, etc. with additional neighborhood and Metro Map. Family mart and Mos Burger are less than 20 meter away from the front of the Hotel. Luminare Department store and JR Station are only a few minutes walk. Big Camera, Don Quijote (yes, Quijote) discount store, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Parco, Seibu are very close to the JR station. Very good noodle shops are scattering around the station. All in room facilities such as air con, heater, fridge, stand alone dehumidifier are function as it should be. Room size are moderate, I am happy to get around 23 Sqm twin room on 15 floor. Hotel staff told me that if weather permits, we may be able to see Mt.Fuji. In room TV channel includes mostly Japanese channel and CNN, BBC. To watch a movie, you need to pay extra. This Hotel is a stop of Airport Limousine bus. Make it very easy for us to transfer from Narita to Hotel and vice versa.
I like this place due to its location and my life style. If you want to live the night life, Shinjuku might be the better place than Ikebukuro. Hot water pot and Japanese green tea are available as a complement but not a coffee bag. To use Wifi, you need to pay more. If you select street view from Google MAP to check how the hotel look like or to find ways to JR Station, you will be very confuse since Google Map pin of this location will navigate you only to the back side of the hotel where Airport Limousine bus stops. If you arrive to this hotel by Airport Limousine Bus, you will be fine.
The airport limousine bus to haneda airport is very convenient. The bus pick you up in front of the hotel. The bell staff will help bringing your luggages to the bus if you leave them at the hotel after check out.
The hotel has 24 floors. 6 elevators are not enough. Sometimes, there is a long queue for the elevator. You have to pay 500 yen for the issuance of the wifi password.
Access to fitness center is expensive and inconvenient (need to buy ticket at check-in counter) and with restricted opening hours.
Convenient to Ikebukuro station. Five star luxury. Free WiFi. Easy and effective. Handy to enormous range of food shops and department stores.
We always try to stay at this hotel. It is convenient and well managed. Saturday night bookings fill up well in advance probably because of the weddings that they schedule there. Therefore, if you plan on staying over a weekend, you should book well in advance. There is a very good seafood restaurant (Blue Ocean) with reasonable prices across the street from the hotel.
Short walk from JR train station, convenient location, attentive & helpful staff, vending machine/ice machine on every floor & the toiletries provided were topnotch!
Heavy elevator traffic, also the bed & pillows were quite firm & uncomfortable
-Location -Price -WiFi only $5 per room, per stay
-Uncomfortable beds -Laundry facilities $$$ (like most hotels)
loocation, staff were very good
very crowded hotel, not good food and smokers, at the bar (but nice view)
near to station, lot foods option, very helpful staff.
Great view and comfy bed!
The staff were courteous. The hotel location is very convenient.
Location is convenient especially to the train / metro station with shoppings
Lightings are rather dim in room and corridor .
The hotel is located very closed to JR and metro stations within a few minutes walk.
The Wifi is free of use but you have to pay for password issuance which is 500 Yen but you can use the wifi for the whole stay.
Good location, spacious and helpful staff
I have been staying at this hotel twice a year for the last 14 years and found no fault with this hotel
The staff were friendly and helpful
This place is overpriced, in a bad location, cramped and noisy. We spent a lot of money to finish our trip in luxury and were sorely disappointed by the room size/quality. We had a very similar room for half the price when we first stayed in Tokyo
