Generous home-cooked breakfast. The staff cannot do enough for their guests The elderly manageress ran after us for a km to give my daughter her forgotten JR. pass
The room, spacious The area
Location difficult to find Welcome could be warmer
Helpful staff, although their English was limited (thanks to Google translate + iPad + internet communication was possible though :) Excellent location for exploring tea district.
Cheap price ... Lovely older couple who ran the place... Good value. Breakfast..good wifi..It was a good backpacker place however not what we expected...as older women it did not suit our requirements so we moved on
....tiny room, shared bathroom, toilet down the hall...thin futons
Great place if you want to try the japanese style rooms. The owners are very friendly and helpful, although they don't speak English very well or at all. It's close to Kanazawa Loop Bus station and is a great location in the Higashichaya district. The breakfast is also amazing. Lots of food, japanese style.
The bathrooms are shared and because the walls are thin, noise of other people walking around late at night or early in the morning can wake you up
Great location, in the middle of the geisha quarter. Spacious rooms. Friendly staff
Share bathroom but no major problem
We enjoyed a lot our stay in this Minshuku! The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful, the rooms are very spacious for Japanese standards, the area is very quiet, yet well located. What else do you need?!
The warm attitude, kindness and help of the owners of this minshuku. Itws feel like home!!
This was the cheapest room we stayed in our whole trip to Japan and the most spacious too. The place is a good 15 min. From Kanazawa Castle, but totally walkable, pratically a straight line. Lovelly and most helpful staff, great stay!
- cleanliness - great location - very, very helpful and friendly staff-owner - family atmosphere - traditional home atmosphere - traditional bath - orange juice and fruits in the morning even though we did not book breakfast - help with the bus lines to sort out the temples - internationally oriented family - just a GREAT EXPERIENCE!
Very friendly people location Nice japanese restaurant just over the bridge
Very difficult to find first time
This hostel is excellent. I liked everything. The room was very confortable, the bathrooms very clean, there was a well equiped kitchen and it is located in a very touristic area, close to the bus station.
Breakfast was very good. Friendly owners and very nice and spacious room.
This family owned inn is very welcoming, and has a nice, relaxed, homey vibe. The style of the building is typical Japanese, and you will be able to enjoy a hot bath, good futon, comfy yukata, and a delicious & abundant Japanese breakfast! The owners are so very nice, and the husband speaks enough basic English to help you out if you need anything. The location is also very good: Higashi Chaya, a nicely preserved old geisha district, is one of the most atmospheric districts of Kanazawa, and one of the places you'll want to see while in town
Nothing! I would definitely go back there!
Kindness, confort, absolutely clean
Nothing. I have not found in Japan better accommodation for this price
Every thing is good in this place...location,internet, Room, house, stuff are very kind Ac in the room, tv, very fast internet , clean and Worth every cent!
Nothing just perfect..
We had an excellent stay. The owner was the sweetest, most hospitable woman ever. She showed us her 22-year-old adorable cat :). The room was huge and comfortable. The location was central to doing a lot of activities, though not really walking distance to the train station. I would give this place my highest recommendation.
Nothing negative to say.
Pleasant proprietor. Spacious 12-tatami family room plus 6-tatami bedroom. Quaint location in Higashiyama area.
Steep stairs to upper rooms - steep stairs down to shower/bath rooms. Difficult access by car!
One of our favourite places during our trip to Japan. Our room was great, very big, and the location is perfect - just next to the geisha district. The owners are very friendly too.
Incredibly friendly staff. Great wifi. Very close to geisha district :-)
Hard to find without GPS.
Easy walk to geisha districts, market, station...breakfast for 1,000 yen very good. Host has tickets for sento available (public bath) - all the women at the bath were very helpful to me. Very comfortable place to stay.
easy walk to geisha districts, market, station, river. ask owner for a ticket to sento (public bath). very good Japanese breakfast for 1,000 yen
The owners were lovely and very helpful there's a great ramen place accross the street, good location and the guesthouse has comfortable rooms
Great, spacious and very traditional room. Lovely host, very well-located. We would definitely return if returning to Kanazawa!
