This hostel is excellent. I liked everything. The room was very confortable, the bathrooms very clean, there was a well equiped kitchen and it is located in a very touristic area, close to the bus station.

This family owned inn is very welcoming, and has a nice, relaxed, homey vibe. The style of the building is typical Japanese, and you will be able to enjoy a hot bath, good futon, comfy yukata, and a delicious & abundant Japanese breakfast! The owners are so very nice, and the husband speaks enough basic English to help you out if you need anything. The location is also very good: Higashi Chaya, a nicely preserved old geisha district, is one of the most atmospheric districts of Kanazawa, and one of the places you'll want to see while in town

Nothing! I would definitely go back there!

We had an excellent stay. The owner was the sweetest, most hospitable woman ever. She showed us her 22-year-old adorable cat :). The room was huge and comfortable. The location was central to doing a lot of activities, though not really walking distance to the train station. I would give this place my highest recommendation.

    Nothing negative to say.

Pleasant proprietor. Spacious 12-tatami family room plus 6-tatami bedroom. Quaint location in Higashiyama area.

Steep stairs to upper rooms - steep stairs down to shower/bath rooms. Difficult access by car!

One of our favourite places during our trip to Japan. Our room was great, very big, and the location is perfect - just next to the geisha district. The owners are very friendly too.

The location is good just next to a nice geisha district. All the attractions in Kanazawa are spread around town so there is really no central location to see everything. The room was clean and comfortable. Shared bathrooms were clean. It was ok for the price.

very helpful and friendly hosts, gave us a feeling of home, very clean and aesthetically very pleasing. location is good, near the bus stop and near the town centre - walkable.

Only 1 shower and it is located at a floor below where we stayed. The stairs were rather steep.

Very friendly owner, clean, large room. Although not close to the JR Station (clearly not within walking distance), there is a JR bus which stops near the property (5-10 minutes walking distance). It is located in a traditional, tea houses district, where it is nice to take a walk. And close enough to the Kenrokuen garden and Kanazawa castle

We liked the warm way we were treated over our 2 night stay in Kanazawa by the owners of the guest house. The room was spacious tatami allowing us to sleep comfortably on futons. We omitted to order breakfast for the first morning at the time of booking but the owners were obliging when we asked for a breakfast and quickly provided a Japanese breakfast.

The Japanese breakfast was delicious and adequate but a little overpriced at 1000 yen in my opinion when compared to other accommodation along our way.
