Room is quite small
humidifier available for use in the room, combination of japanese and western style breakfast buffet.
The Oruro should be bigger
satisfied with the room was clean large enough, the public bath, and the kind and helpful staff
We had a spacious room at end of corridor, very well equipped and comfortable. Staff were excellent, and the location is ideal for exploring the city, especially the market. Lots of nice places to eat nearby.
No criticisms at all.
Facility was clean and the staff was very helpful.
great staff, location, restaurant nearby;
the room was a little small; it was expensive due to travel season in Japan
What were the pillows stuffed with, beans?! Between the intolerable pillows and hard mattress i slept very poorly and awoke with back pain. Otherwise, the hotel is great.
size of the room
Location conveniently near subway and bus stations. Walking distance to markets and shopping
Hotel a bit old
Many bus goes to the key attractions. But the staff should have given us the bus route guide when we check in. By the time we receive guide it's already our second day. The public bath is nice although quite small.
The nearest subway has only staircase instead of lift or escalator. We had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Its better to stay near Shijo which is an interchange
good location. if you are good at walking, bus is not a necessity.
service could be more efficient.
Accomodation with decent breakfast in Kyoto is not easy to be found especially in the high season. This is basically a business hotel so the room is tiny but if you go out during the day, this does a job: clean, good location and the hotel staff is helpful(if not highly friendly but again this is a business hotel).
Location and politeness of the staff
Can't believe it's ranked as 4 star hotel! Room is super small and not so clean...bathroom facility is poor....everything is old and need an upgrade innovation ASAP! Won't recommend this one...
This was a great place to stay, location was close to many attractions and the subway. As it rained I could get a complimentary umbrella and even though I overslept they allowed me a check out extension for 1000 yen.
Front desk is friendly and room is clean . Near subway , walk around 2 min.
staff is very nice helped us with finding our way around
rooms are a bit small (although it is normal for japan)
The bed and pillows were excellent, the onsen on level 2 was an interesting experience for a first timer. Pyjama suit is also provided, good for the trip to the onsen. The staff were excellent and know English. The Hotel was reasonably close to the subway about 200 metres away, turn left at Starbucks on the corner. There is another coffee shop worth going to - Caffexcelsior across the road from Starbucks. Good place to explore from.
This only applies to me (196 cms) and maybe other tall people, the bathroom and toilet area is a little small. The room we were in had the bed close up to the wall making it difficult for the second person to get in and out of the bed. Only 15 or 20 mins of inconvenience out of the day though.
The hotel has an excelent location, you can move by train, metro and bus easily.
very friendly and helpfull staff. very comfortable shower, toilet and bed. good location.
we didn.t understand the airco in the room. so it was hot.
Although rooms were quite small but its location and rates definitely overshadows it
Had difficulties communicating with reception staff due to language barrier
Great central location which is central to many attractions.
Room and toilet were extremely small.
Staff was very helpful with info and directions . The public bath was nice.
Air conditioning turned warm a few hours in the night, every night.
Staff were extremely helpful. Beds were good and there is a good breakfast. Location is perfect near centre and close to subway and buses. Nice Japanese garden view.
Rooms not very well isolated and you can hear people in hallway and in room next door.
