“ The location of the hotel by Maehama Beach was undeniably beautiful, as was our view of the beach and Kurima Bridge! The hotel offered a variety of dining options, however we preferred the Moon Shell cafe/bar. Beach towels were available free of charge and the beach was lined with umbrellas and sunbaking chairs which were available for everyone to use. ”

All rooms have a minibar and a private balcony with ocean views. Modern and spacious, the air-conditioned rooms at Miyakojima Tokyu Resort include free wired internet and an en suite bath with amenities. You can stretch out on the sofa, drink hot green tea and watch the LCD satellite TV. The hotel is 10 minutes from Miyakojima Airport on the hotel’s free shuttle, and a 20-minute drive from Ryugujo Observatory. On-site parking is free. Kurima Bridge is just a 20-minute walk. Tennis courts, minigolf and rental bicycles offer fun throughout the day. Beachgoers can enjoy snorkelling and windsurfing. A chargeable internet PC can be found at the lobby. Staff was excellent, helpful, cooperative, always guest-friendly. The Moon Shell restaurant is a hidden treasure, little patronized, but great. Water in the pool and in the ocean were a bit cool, but perhaps it was too early in the season to be otherwise.

The hotel offered a variety of dining options, however we preferred the Moon Shell cafe/bar. Beach towels were available free of charge and the beach was lined with umbrellas and sunbaking chairs which were available for everyone to use. No complaints about this hotel, we loved it!

Genuinely friendly, caring staff who would go out of their way to help you. Stunning ocean view from room. World class beach in front of resort has beautiful white sand and crystal clear water and a swimming area with a net to protect from box jellyfish. Breakfast croissants and pastries were exceptional, rest of breakfast buffet was nothing that special though. It is quiet and there isn't much of a nightlife at the resort - but that may be a positive aspect depending on what you want. Some of the extras are pretty expensive. All rooms (I think) are twins, but are a decent size for Japan.
