Located a 10-minute drive away from Lake Kawaguchi, Kawaguchiko Country Cottage Ban boasts a great view of Mt. Fuji and free Wi-Fi throughout the property.
Score from 70 reviews Wonderful
Excellent view. !!!!!
We can see Fuji mountain and Kawaguchi Lake from the guest room. The bench and table are provided for sitting at the terrace to enjoy the great view of Fuji-san and Kawaguchiko. The room is very good, clean and comfortable. The public bath is quite small lack of facilities in public bath when compare with other Onsen. The dinner is very delicious. The hotel is located on the hill. But it's compensated by the great view.
Lovely country style decoration, warm atmosphere, delicate and delicious Japanese dinner+Western breakfast, great service. We really enjoyed the stay after the Fujisan marathon.
Loved the free washing machine, but it was outdoor.
- View from the room was amazing. Balcony over Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji. - Quick walk into town. - Private Hot Tub on the roof. - Free Shuttle to the station.
From the outside hot tub you can see Mt. Fuji. Brilliant!!
This hotel is a nice mix of traditional Japanese with Western influence. We stayed in a traditional Japanese tatami room and slept on the floor with futon mattresses which our children loved (but not so comfortable for the parents!).
The hike up the hill is worth the effort for the view, even if it is cloudy. It was rainy most of our visit, so we did not get to see Mt. Fuji the way we wanted, but it was still a great location and setting.
Just love it..it's a cosy place .very relaxing . I enjoy the dinner n breakfast ..Will definitely go back
Beautiful screened rush floor Japanese style room with low furniture and futon beds. The view across the lake to Mount Fuji was stunning and the food in the hotel was exceptional.
Its my second stay in Mizuno Hotel. Was there earlier this year in January. Absolutely love this hotel and the vicinity. Magnificent view and rooms are spacious and clean! Will definitely stay Mizuno again and again:)
Hotel on hillside overlooking lake and Mt Fuji. Great views in morning on clear days.
I reccomend the private open air bath! It is amazing to bath and see the sunset view! There is a free bicycle rental if you book with booking.com and I rode along the kawaguchi lake it tooks about 2 hours.. The japanese breakfast was amazing (not the cheapest but you'll be full and need no lunch!) Our room was really huge with amazing view to Mt. Fuji
Fabulous location and common areas. Really nice lounge, especially the armchairs in the Library. Our room (500) was on the top floor with a great balcony overlooking Fuji San.
Onsen wasn't that nice. And bathroom was extremely small. The room too was a bit small for triple sharing. In-room Wifi was non-existent.
Clean and convenient
No wifi and free breakfast
Out door onsen with fuji.mt view
The hotel is located on the hill so we need to walk on the small access road and it has not street light
Great Mt. Fuji view Good room and service Free wifi coverage in the room is good
Limited shuttle service schedule
Good location with great view. Even it is located on the foot of the hill, but you can take 3 minutes walk from hotel to main road. Onsen is great. We will certainly visit Mizuno hotel again.
Good location, we can see fuji san very clear.
Little old hotel.
The room is very big, and it is true that we can see Mt Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko right from our room's windows - wonderful experience. Location wise, the hotel's area is easily accessible by the red line bus, but do note that the hotel is located on the hill and people who do not drive or take the hotel's shuttle bus will have to walk up a slope. The hotel's onsen was quite a relaxing experience. Staff was very helpful and gave us the hotel's own customised map of Kawaguchiko area. Overall, it was a good experience and would recommend it if you do not mind its location being on the hill and slightly less easily accessible by public transport.
If you do not drive or take the hotel's shuttle bus, you must be prepared for quite a long walk up the slope leading to the hotel.
- The view of Mt Fuji from bedroom - Private outdoor Jacuzzi - Free Wi-Fi - Shuttle bus to and from Train station - The Hotel is look old (I dont like but My wife like)
- The Hotel is look old (I dont like but My wife like) - Jacuzzi need to pay 1100 Yen per 30 minutes per person. Per 30 minutes is fine but per person is ridiculous
The mt fuji view is so nice and i can see that from the balcony and public spa. Public spa is good, we booked 4 ppl room, but it can sleep 6 ppl..:).
There is a very small and steep road from main road to hotel.
Free bicycle , very good view , good staff
The friendly, helpful staff who went the extra mile to accommodate our requirements. The spacious (for Japan) room with its own balcony and the stunning view of Mt Fuji across the lake. The inexpensive laundry facilities. The roof-top, private jacuzzi (though a small fee is payable). The complimentary hotel shuttle bus offered several times a day into town/to the station. The hotel's location on top of a hill and set back from the noisy road. This provided a quiet and scenic experience. The free bicycles for guest use. The air ioniser in each room which completely removes the smell of any previous smoking, or any current smoking from neighbouring rooms.
The location is about 20 minutes walk from the centre of town where a greater choice of restaurants are located. However, the free hotel shuttle bus and bicycle use can alleviate this. The hotel's restaurant serves only Japanse food and cannot accommodate any special dietary requirements (we are vegetarian). The breakfast was a little expensive, so we ate elsewhere.
rode to hotel much slope
Fuji view, excellent onsen, resonable price
Difficult way to go to the hotel!!
Staff was friendly and helpful. Shelter bus was handy.
Meals can't be serviced unless prebooked. It is too far away from public transport.
