Restaurants in hotel are all pricy and needed the reservation.
All staffs are nice and well trained. I could see Osaka Castle from our room. The size of the room is not too small like other hotels in Japan.

- Expensive laundry service.
- Next to Osaka Castle

- Freaking expensive laundry service. Just use a 24h coin laundry outside.
- In front of Osaka Castle

The breakfast is very good but VERY overpriced. The price they indicate at the entrance of the restaurant is 3200 JPY but this is excluding tax and service so the final price is close to 4000. We found very annoying to be charged service for a buffet... There is a Starbucks, McDo and Mister Donut nearby if needed. The hotel is located in a business area, close to the castle but far away from the centre so there are little option for dinner nearby (apart at the once again crazy expensive restaurants of the hotel). There are a few restaurants in the nearby mall but they close early so our advice is to plan ahead !
We were upgraded to a junior suite because we were on our honeymoon, and really appreciated it ! The room was very comfortable and we slept really well. It was very quiet. There is a JR station very close so it is easy to get around.

Strict check in time
Great views of Osaka Castle
April 13, 2015
Hadn't expected view from the room to be the facing office block when described as City View. Bathroom small and pink tiled - looked like tired 70s/80s - including tap shower attachment for over bath shower & shower curtain. Had just left a cheaper hotel in central Tokyo with stunning room, fabulous City view, marble lined large bathroom etc.
Close to the station and Osaka Castle. Trains are efficient and run frequently so able to get into Osaka and Kyoto easily

The dated decor
The view of the castle

The room carpet and the room overall was a bit musty. Our granddaughter who was 10 years old who is an excellent swimmer didn't get to swim in the big pool as their rule was 18 and over only. Also hotel was a bit far from the city but our rail pass did the trick and made it easier on us.
Big rooms - bigger than a usual Japanese 4-5 star hotel. We got a nice room on the 7th floor and our airconditioning worked but we had a family on the 16th floor facing the Osaka Castle and their airconditioning didn't work on that side.

Very poor that you have to pay to use the gym and pool considering we had two suites! And charge 25% per hr for late checkout.
Good restaurants Opposite beautiful park and close to subway

My no smoking room smelt of cigarette smoke. Thankfully I could open a window.
Excellent location and friendly staff. Our room was large with a great view over the park and castle.
April 7, 2015
Reasonable Food choices nearby are very limited. You need to walk or take the subway everywhere- that's bad if it's raining or if you want to stay close to your hotel.
Near Osaka Castle

It was a bit away from downtown and the places for eateries; but, still easy to travel to places like Namba and Dotonburi.
They upgrade me to the room on executive floor. It was a great and very spacious room. Love the bathroom.

Transportation to the airport is not most convenient by bus shuttle or JR. The hotel has limited bus shuttle to Kansai airport. Alternative is to take the JR to Osaka station. Please note that there is no elevator at the JR station near the hotel, be prepared to take the stairs.
They have a fairly good size room by Japanese standard. If you are planning to visit Osaka castle for cherry blossoms viewing. It's a perfect spot for cherry blossom viewing only a 5 mins walk. The hotel is located in a business district therefore it's fairly quiet at night. There are a couple of restaurants in the nearby offices if you choose to dine out. Alternatively one can walk to the nearest mall which is abt 15 mins away for meals/shopping or just take the subways or JR loop to the central locations.

Bathrooms need a major renovation. Breakfast took 800 yen for coffee!! and 600 yen for some cut up fruit that was 1 strawberry 2 small pieces of melon and 2 small pieces of pineapple - a rip off!
The very friendly and helpful staff, and great location.
March 24, 2015
The staff is extremely helpful and ready for the guests' needs 24/7. The rooms are quite big and comfortable. Osaka Castle is within walking distance and so is Osaka Business Station. There are plenty of restaurants in the hotel and behind it for all budgets.

Having to pay $40 to use the gym, bugger that I'll hit the mini bar instead
Great hotel and easy to get to especially because we were dragging snowboard bags around. The news paper in English was appreciated. Free wifi in room!
