Hotel New Otani Tokyo  

Prop d'una entrada de metro ( Akasaka_mitsuke, línia M ) que et permet moure't per Tokyo amb facilitat. Ambient elegant i tranquil.Habitació espaiosa, còmoda, neta i amb vistes, llit molt còmode i gran. La premsa cada matí en anglès. Un jardí meravellós per on pots passejar. Molts restaurants dins de l'hotel on triar per si no vols sortir a sopar i si només vols caminar una mica tens un carrer amb restaurants i molt moviment a dos minuts de l'hotel a la sortida del metro. Molt important, surt un Bus que et porta a l'aeroport des de la mateixa porta de l'hotel per un preu de 300 yens per persona que és és molt pràctic.El personal molt atent, amable i educat, però això es troba arreu del Japó.

The hotel is vintage 1960s and built around a lovely Japanese garden, which is a rarity in any city. However, parts of the garden were closed for maintenance during my stay.

The Garden Tower rooms are definitely not 5 star quality--they are faded and need updating, not very large, and a bit gloomy. For the money, you'd do better staying at a newer, smarter, 4 star in Tokyo. The restaurants and all services are overpriced. The most annoying thing, though, is lack of WiFi service in the rooms and in the hotel in general. I had to go all the way across the huge hotel complex, buy a 30 minute access card for $10 usd, and camp out at the main desk lobby area in order to get connected. There's simply no excuse for this at a contemporary 5 star hotel in one of the world's major cities.

We stayed at the Hotel New Otani at the time of the Earthquake. The staff were fantastic and couldn't have been more kind and helpful. With all the difficulties they were experiencing they continued to provide an amazing service. We had to cut our stay short due to all the problems and they only charged us for the time we were there, found out about how we could get to the airport because all the usual transport methods had stopped and even came out to wave us off apologising for the disruptions to our holiday. This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in and would thoroughly recommend it to others.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is extremely impressive. Our room in 'The Main' was beautiful and every detail was so well thought out, it made our honeymoon stop over really special. Thank you!

Adjacent to a subway station with 4-5 major lines. Many stores and restaurants in the hotel. Under-utilized jym. Mechanized wake-up call.

Atmosphere is a little bit "mass market" (not so exclusive) which reminded me of hotels in Hawaii. Breakfast buffets at three restauarants were not up to my expectation (very limited choices). It wasn't easy to control room temperature (it was too warm).

Location, ambience, familiarity (I have stayed in the past), access to transportation and restaurants.

The room heating control is slow and imprecise. Generally, room was too warm at night. Breakfast not available until 7am. Should be open at 6am, or 6:30 at the latest. Iron and ironing board only available for 1 hour periods.

The price had been discounted making it good value. The room was large and comfortable with all amenities necessary. The hotel facilities were excellent and the staff were very helpful.

The restaurants are too expensive. We decided to eat out as a result but would have like to try one of the teppanyaki places.

One of the venerable grand Tokyo hotels (I stayed at the new Garden tower). Convenient central location). Gorgeous Japanese garden. Many restaurants & bars to choose from. Be sure to try the pancakes for breakfast!!

A bit too big a hotel for my taste- great for exercise! Include breakfast in your plan, otherwise you will be paying ¥2800 (over $30us!!).

The view and the Japanese Garden...lovely.

No wireless except in lobby for 15.00 us dollars for30 minutes. Reservation was made in yen not dollars.

The staff were very helpful and very attentive. We had a problem with our air conditioning and they very quickly relocated us to a better room
