Staff are nice and can speak very good English. Clean room and nice bed.
It is a bit hard to find at first but once you found it, you can easily figure out the short cut back to Ueno station.
The staff was very friendly and very close to Ueno station.
The hotel is very old and smelled bad.
Bigger rooms according to Japanese standards.
The room smelled like a smoking room
the position was very good, even if the street is very small so even not possible to reach by taxi
no lift the room are extremely small, not even space to put the luggage it smells a lot and it was extremely humid my room had a window facing a wall, so no window, i had no idea about the weather outside and the temperature, i was like in a small bunker the bed was too old, i had to remove the mattress and sleep almost on the fllor No possibility to go out in the night, cause it close at 2am The people at the desk the most of the time wasnt able to speak in english, so hard to explain anything
Nice staff, good location, good facilities.
Many many flying bugs in the room. Made it hard to sleep. I feel bad saying it but the staff were really nice they just have a bad bug problem in the rooms.
Staff is very good
Facilities are getting old, but still good enough, I think.
Rooom was adequate, staff were pleasant. Good coffee available for free in the lobby in the morning. Good internet access.
A request to the hotel for a clear map did provide a good guide of the way from the station but it was still a little challenging to find the hotel in the dark. It is down a side street and the only name signs are in japanese.
Not so new
near jr ueno and ameyoko market
Room is clean. Staff is helpful.
Room cannot keep voices. We heard what people next door talking and watching TV. Difficult to sleep. No elevators. Difficult to find the hotel. Hotel name in English is hard to see.
Staffs are not good. Like dormitory. very old
Very handy to the station. Good lighting in the room, better than most.
Breakfast had little to recommend it.
toothbrush is too hard.
Quite near to Ueno train station though it's a good 12 min. walk to the Keisai Line.
1. Hidden in a small lane 2. Lane too small for 8 seater to manouvre in. 3. Dinghy small hotel, with narrow passages, steep narrow staircases and NO LIFTS. 4. Rooms have no view. 5. Hot water was rust colored and full of sediments 6. Staff speaks little English though they try hard to help 7. Smell prevades in the tiny reception area maybe due to damp old carpets.
Localization is super. Price for the value is super. Note that this is Japan -- rooms can be small and bathrooms very small. This is normal and expected,
Somewhat difficult to find. Neon only in Japanese!
Location and cleanliness
Big twin room, nice people, willing to help. Their English, however, is poor.
5 minutes walk from Uenu station, but very difficult to find. The room is big but needs renovation.
Free WIFI every room. Just 5 minutes walk from Ueno Station. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
Too small single room, but ok.
Location; location; location value for the money
Warning for all these XX-based tourists who look for a Hilton-DC hotel in Japan -- this is not it this is a nice hotel located 15 minutes from ueno park with all its incredible museums and Ueno station where you can find transport to anywhere in Tokyo and outside... Rooms are cozy but small; if you do not print your map in good resolution you may look for the hotel for a while; rooms are "small" (ok); there is nothing spacial; wifi works; tv has few channels; but this is a good hotel
Clean room and fine beds
No elevator or bell boy funktion
All was very good.
No hotel name visible from street in English - hard to find
convenient location, reasonable price
room is small and old, bed is uncomfortable
Clean, quiet and very reasonable pricing. Great location. Friendly staff.
Excellent location, friendly staff, good value for money
