Great Location Big and Clean Room
Very near Kyoto JR station, Kyoto tower and sukiya gyudon restaurant. Male staff extremely helpful
Futon in room was very comfortable. Toilet and sink in the bedroom. Japanese style bathrooms downstairs and private shower downstairs. Coin-operated laundry. Free wi-fi works in the bedrooms. Tea and sweets everyday, along with cute omiyage fan-postcards when we left. Location is perfect for sightseeing, only 6 minutes from the buses at Kyoto station by foot, and there is a grocery store and convenient stores around the corner.
Good location an i like the japanese type if ooom
The location is near Kyoto Station
Location and unique experience
Host did not appear very welcoming
Walking distance from kyoto station Cleanliness
The curfew of the hotel No breakfast
excellent room for single pax
blanket too short
The staff at the reception not helpful
Prime location, only 5 minutes walk to the train station. They provide clean towels, yukata every day, as well as Japanese snacks. The facility also has nice traditional Japanese bath (ofuro).
Didn't like the curfew, we couldn't enter or leave the facility between 11pm - 6am. The shower time should also be open for more hours.
very friendly staff
the noise from the room, cant sleep until 2am. the futon not so comfortable to sleep with
No Smile from owner too early bathroom curfew
Location location location!!!
Should have option of in-room toilet & bath for couples.
Traditional hotel about 100 yrs old with good facilities n very clean. Provide great tea leave n local snack. Just 3 mins walk from Kyoto Station n good restaurants round the area.
Guy Receptionist very unpolite which is no usual fm Japanese culture.
traditional japanese accommodation. tatami bed, onset, gift of fan when we left. looked after our bags for the day after we exited. family business. great location to train, buses and food (2minutes). really enjoyed the experience.
i think it would take a little to get used to the tatami, but we wanted the experience. the 11pm curfew, but we felt really safe there and in Kyoto.
Great location. Nice staff. Cheapest. Very good things.
Amazing! The best place we stayed at the entire trip! Great room, a public bath, friendly staff, plus its super close to the station! I would definitely recommend it to everyone - a real experience of Japan's tradition and hospitality!
If you decide to party this is not the place for you. The doors are locked up at 11pm ...if you want to feel like a convict and be released at 7am for breakfast and leisure time outside of the compound then consider this place. Besides this, its a room and they supplied tea , aircon , mini fridge and our own washroom . Other units is just a room sharing washrooms so book and read all discriptions before making decision
Room big and spacious. Great that there is free wifi and ensuite toilet and bathroom.
Reception staff. Atmosphere. Coffee in the morning. Small number if rooms. Thin walls but guests were respectful of being quiet. Bit of a traditional feel. Good Wi-Fi. Very close to a very nice little supermarket. Handy to train station (good if arriving late at night by train). Mostly Japanese guests. Staff speak enough English.
Far from all attractions (Downtown much much much better from this perspective).
mold on shower cabin walls, toilet to small for a western size man. Hotel information does not tell the truth on cooking.com pages
The location is very good
Very expensive !
Excellent location, this hotel is literally opposite Kyoto station, only around 5, 6 min walking station and central bus station. Yodobashi department store (electric, clothes, food court) is next door. Clean room, toilet and public bath. With its central location and money value. Would recommend to everyone.
The curfew problem means the hotel will lock out the door from 11pm in the evening and you have to come back by that time. The walls and doors were thin and not very sound proof. This hotel is a bit "too japanese" so foreign visitors, especially non-asian may find
It is very well located.
The futons are thinner than in other ryokans that we have stayed
