There was enough space. Free parking and noone disturbed you.
The bed has sharp edges, where you can hurt yourself and the bed is too soft. The room could be a little bit cleaner.
Close to station Comfort of room
the kettle didn't work the air condition is quite old
Nikko is a fantastic place to visit, but its either budget or really expensive accomodation. I was a little apprehensive about the Nikko Park Lodge because of the price! If you take this into consideration its a clean, functional and extremely convenient place to stay. You need to say when you will arrive cos the desk is not constantly manned - its the shaved ice cafe! The thing you really need to know about Nikko is that it closes early - generally about 7pm!!! Theres a Ramen place a little way up the road open till about 8:30 - cheap and good. There is a restaurant almost opposite serving mostly sashimi which was more expensive but fantastic. We ate at the cafe in the shrine which was good value. Best souvenir find? Japanese style half curtains which look great in our kitchen and the 'Hello Kitty' store! There are socks made for all the major sites in japan which make a brilliant keepsake!
-clean -good WIFI -spacious rooms -nice staff -perfect location
-opening times of the reception were a bit confusing
Very convenient location, bedding clean and comfortable. The size of our group even allowed for our own bathroom. Separate shampoo and conditioner (no 2-in-1) and body soap included. Wifi sufficiently fast.
Not much security in the mixed dorm. Everyone staying gets the same key to the main door, no lockers etc to store valuables.
Late check-in, no one was there
near train station
not clean enough
single room was comfortable with a double bed, shared bathroom only shared with one other room which was great. location was excellent, just across from the Tobu Nikko station
only downside was connection to wifi was very spotty, not really a big deal
Nice room and view. Cool mini kitchen area and comfy bed.
Great location, right opposite the station. Large rooms.
Close to station
Noisy street. Towel with hole in it. Untidy, run down place
Very nice mid-level staff. However, when there were problems, the "boss" could nowhere be found, phoned, or contacted. Very unfortunate.
The room did not provide what the booking stated: No refrigerator, no kettle, not even a cup. A room that looked like a storage facility cluttered with useless items which left no room for even the luggage. A broken lock which first kept me locked out and then locked in (!) for hours. No compensation offered since the boss could not be reached. Very poor management.
Staff is nice. It is close to Tobu Nikko station, a late opened restaurant, Lion supermarket. Room is big and clean.
There is no staff to stand by in the evening or early morning.
Near the train and bus station Room is big
we arrived at 10 pm, but nobody was there to welcome us despite the fact that I warned about our late arrival. So we had to call and wait for the owner The room is big and has a kitchen. But if you do not intend to cook, then the room can be considered too expensive. The bed was too soft for me.
It is kind of farm house experience. gps got us to other place then that is stated in booking but it is run by the same owner so they accepted us there.
Wifi is very bad.bathroom is so small that you can barely move.
Close to Tobu Nikko
No breakfast or after hours staff
Value for money and centrally located.
Reception is at the ground floor in a restaurant, every time we passed it at any time, morning, afternoon, evening, and it was closed. We had to call for reception. Not visiting in peak season might be an excuse. House owner speaks good English, but the receptionist he hires speaks poor English.
right in front of the station
not clean found a cockroach on the wall, couldn't catch it so we had to sleep with it hiding somewhere reception closes too early they said there were wifi ID an pwd in the room but there weren't
Atmosphere of this town, especially the Urami falls not far a way from the Nikko.
Good value for money
lack of communication. Ther should have been notices to check in at the hotel next door
The location was great, right in front of the station. The room was clean but the bathroom could do with a toothbrush and toothpaste. The view from the room was also nice.
I was helped by a very friendly woman at the reception, who spoke excellent English. The furnishing and room looked slightly dated, but the room was very cheap, very clean and with ample towels, shampoo, etc. Good wifi reception in my room as well. Access from the station could not be easier, it's right across the street from the JR railway station.
At night there is some noise from the traffic on the road in front of the hotel. But nothing that kept me from sleeping.
Close to the train station.
The picture in the listing is not the hostel but the bus station. I walked all over looking for this building and was deceived by the picture.
