Menu at restaurant was limited.
Spotlessly clean with super Onsen facility. Great breakfast with nice choice
Would have liked a bigger room with king- size bed
Spacious room with understated elegance, excellent breakfast buffet, super-easy to find as located right across from railway station
It's not a biggie, but the towels were very thin and quite old looking. Also, face cloths would have been handy.
The onsen was great
The room was super small and just bare bones.
Nice hotel close to the railwaystation and the bus to Nikko world heritage. The room was clean and had english speaking personell in the lobby. The breakfast was both Japanese and western style.
The hotel is just in front of the Nikkon statin. Great location. Nice staffs help us store our luggage for two days before our stay.
The price is higher than its value.
Room good size for Japan Baths (Onsen) very nice especially outdoors
Only one person could go on wifi at a time in room. No public soace wifi No flexibility on check in time but they did store bag Only drip coffe included in Breakfast.
The location was great close to the train station and the local buses to all the sites. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was confortable and clean.
The breakfast was very expensive.
Heavy bedding, air con not adjustable.
Although the name contains the word "classic" the hotel is a rather new and modern place. The room was not very big, but had everything I needed. The shared areas of the hotel are very nice, being new and clean, but having the design of a classic hotel (probably that's what the name refers to). Cabled internet was available in the room. A small WIFI-router was handed to me on request for my wireless-only devices. Most convenient is, that the hotel is very close to the rail station(s). So on arrival you can easily drop off your bags and explore Nikko. The stops for the main bus routes are close by. When I returned in the evening, my luggage was already in the room. I did not hear any noise from the rail tracks. But I think these lines don't operate at night anyway. The hotel has an own onsen, which can be used for free by guests (or for a fee for non-guests). The indoor and outdoor pools look also very new and well maintained which makes them a great place to relax in the evening after all the sightseeing.
There was nothing I did not like.
Excellent location. Clean. Friendly English speaking staff. Nice Onsen, although no view.
Beds a bit hard. Small room for the price, but the price seems comparable with others
I liked the onsen and the breakfast buffet, and the location of the hotel across from the train station which made it easy to find when I arrived late in the evening. The hotel has been renovated recently.
The room was small but plenty big enough for me.
Loved everything about the hotel. Can't beat the location, being across the road from JR Nikko station.
Breakfast was excellent, staff spoke English, outstanding customer service. Would highly recommend to others.
No complaints at all. Maybe get satellite tv for English speakers.
Large room. Close to JR station and bus stop for buses to Lake Chuzenji and Yumoto. Public baths. Buffet breakfast good. On site restaurant good.
Long walk to shrines from hotel along drab Main Street. No drawers for clothing.
Onsen without a view
Onsen was disappointing
Room enough confortable, Close trains station
Breakfast so so.
Very convenient location, it is just in front of the station. One of the staff at the reception desk spoke French. The onsen was great.
Breakfast buffet was excellent, great variety of options. Location is very close to both train stations. Staff were very helpful, we arrived early on the day of our check in and left our luggage at the hotel, when we returned our luggage had been placed in our room.
The hotel was clean and modern and the room was big. The location was superb. Steps from the JR Nikko and minutes from Tobu Nikko. There are some restaurants nearby and it's about a 15 minute walk from the sacred bridge and temples/shrines. Breakfast buffet was tasty, for about $20. Very happy with this hotel.
The staff were very helpful especially the restaurant staff.
There was nothing we did not like
The hot spring bath and buffet breakfast were really wonderful! I found the kitchen staff to be very friendly. I enjoyed my stay very much.
The aircon automatically turned itself off after an hour and the blanket was far too warm but there were no other options.
great front desk staff
