The meal was small and poor value.
Quaintness and proximity to station.
Located across from JR station and a good base for walking about the town and tourist sites. Meals, both breakfast and dinner were above expectations with very good buffets. Professional, helpful staff both at front desk and in restaurant.
The room was bit too small. We were there during a mid March weekend--and not many places like restaurants were open in the evenings, or early morning.
The proximity of the hotel location to the train station was very convenient, although it is at one end of the town. After walking all day in cold weather, relaxing in the onsen was a great way to end the day.
staff not very fluent in English, but that's common in Japan.
quiet and close to both train stations. excellent buffet breakfast and buffet dinner.
Since they were fully booked we could get rooms on a smoking floor; however, they did not inform us about this neither in the confirmation mail nor in a separate mail. They only told us upon check in. Would we know this we wouldn't book this hotel.
Very close to the train station, the staff was friendly and the hotel was basically fit to the category it's declared about itself.
Make sure you don't get double charged, because I do.
The buffet was excellent. The location was convenient. Also the staff was helpful.
Hotel was very easy to find as it is directly across from the JR station. The sights in Nikko are 1,5 km on foot but you can also easily take the bus. The onsen (spa) in the basement is very easy to use and have an outdoor bath as well. Could leave my luggage before and after check in/out there.
Location Outdoor Onzen
Great location. Food was excellent. Comfy beds. And a relaxing onsen at the end of the day.
Location, it is right next to the JR station where buses first stop to pick up passengers to Chuzenji. Also walking distance to shops, cafe and the supermarket. Service staff were very good and helpful as well.
limited choices of foods
Outdoor onsen Location
It expensive because its a resort
Great breakfast, near the train station and the hot springs are amazing !
The hotel is a bit too expensive.
The hotel is just across the train station, yet in a quiet spot. It is about 20 min walk from the touristic attractions, but there is a quite frequent bus service from the train station.
Unfortunately there was no baby bed available, which was a challenge for us and our 10months old baby.
Good value for the price, not cheap though. Close to both stations, nice bakery around the corner for breakfast. Haven't tried food.
No wifi in room
Lovely welcoming atmosphere!
- Near to Tobu-Nikko train station - Indoor and outdoor hot spring - Breakfast was alright, though same throughout our stay. - Bedroom is very clean and pretty spacious. - Bathroom is clean and spacious too. - Umbrellas provided at the lobby.
Very convenient location to the JR train station (there are 2 stations in Nikko). The hotel has very good onsen baths - indoor and outdoor. Breakfast buffet was one of the best.
Smokers in the waiting area just outside the hot baths, though happily no smell of smoke inside the baths.
Location right over the road from the charming, old Nikko railway station made arriving and leaving super-easy. The hotel feels substantial and well cared-for, with pleasing architecture. Our room was very comfortable, with a pleasant small sitting area and a decent-sized bed.The buffet breakfast is excellent, and the service very nice indeed. We also ate a good pizza for lunch on one of our days, and a delicious Japanese dinner, so can recommend all meals.
A bit too expensive, but it is tipical for whole Nikko area.
Hotel is very close to Nikko JR station, Tobu Nikko station and bus stop, so it has good location to visit Nikko. The room is comfortable and clean. Staff is very helpful and speak good English. Breakfast included in hotel price is very abundant and delicious.
food price for dinner is expensive. better to book reservation and eat in downtown (about 5-10min walk) subject to where you book on the main street.
lodging and location
Two single beds put together as a double - ridge in the middle. Minor discomfort.
Super handy location. Very nice onsen. Excellent range of choice in the breakfast buffet. Good free wifi. Welcoming and helpful staff.
A convenient hotel with very friendly staff, good rooms and a nice onsen.
Very closed to JR station
Tower looks old and has some unpleasant smell
Good location Kind employee Acceptable spring water Excellent wifi second to none in this area
Well this is a business hotel, I can't believe it is a 4 stars hotel. It is like a Toyoko Inn in Nikko. Better go and spend your money at other properties with great facilities. I don't know go somewhere else to enjoy a really nice japanese onsen, a nice ryokan, great views. The hotel looks nice in front of station, but thats it. There were so much better hotels and ryokans near temples which by the way are only 10 to 15 minutes away from this simple hotel. Yes, you stay in front of station, but thats it there's not much around Nikko station and there is nothing, absolutely nothing at the hotel. This onsen is a joke, so simple, lobby there is none, just 1 sofa in front of front desk. So better go and stay at other properties. This is a $100 per night hotel. Very simple, very small. For $350 per night without dinner you will enjoy better a ryokan.
It is new.
