Nikko Tokinoyuu is located on just a 10-minute walk from the ancient Rinno-ji temple complex. The Japanese-style hotel features a public hot spring bath and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 113 reviews Very good
- very close to train station - the room is clean and comfortable - nice outdoor onsen - strong wifi
- food is expensive - would be nice if they provide yukata instead of bath robe
- Easy to access from the JR train.
Staff cann't speak english well.
Staff was excellent and location was good
Sleeping on the bed was like sleeping on stone. I understand that most Japanese hotels have hard beds but I stayed at these other Japanese hotels, and the beds were much more comfortable.
good location and nice service. it's not so expensive compared other hotels in Nikko area. better quality than others old hotels or hostels.
staff's english ability is not so good but still can communicate.
Modern, clean room with very comfortable bed.
No heated seat for the washlet. Minor.
really good location
Great breakfast, big room, very big and mostly comfortable bed, great location - just across the road from the JR station and bus stop, English speaking staff which also helped us with the bus times.
The double bed was made of 2 single mattresses so the middle section was uncomfortable. It was a bit expensive.
Very convenient location as it is opposite the Nikko JR station. We went on our tour leaving our luggage at the hotel and came back to pick them up with no worries about our stuffs. Nice and good onsen spa.
Location of spa is next to restaurant and laundry machines where people who waited for their washing, smoked in the waiting area.
Loved the location opposite JR train station - really convenient when you come in by train. There is no where to get a good breakfast outside of the hotel so strongly recommend you have breakfast at hotel - lots of variety, eat all you want and fresh. Room was bigger compared to other japenese hotels we stayed at, was functional, clean and had everything we needed.
Dont know whether it was because winter was setting in but the room was overly warm/hot all the time. Couldn't cool the room down even with air con going. To be fair though, we are just coming out of a long cold winter and found the weather warm. Oh well cant win them all though.
Location, cleanliness, neatness and reasonably modern interior.
Hot spring large room good location best place best price
Onsen Location Staff Clean Very good WIFI
Japanese restaurant no English menu the food was okay
Great location, breakfast and stuff is really professional.
I did not like the dinner in traditional japanese restaurant, Sakura. The food is over-prized and the quality is not as good. You will find nicer and cheaper restaurants in the city center.
best for breakfast.
Room is too small compared with room rate and a bit low quantity of room facilities.
The locations is good - close to JR station and is only a few mins away on foot from Tobu Nikko Station. The breakfast has a wide range of food and is able to maintain the decent quality of the food. The room is spacious by the Japanese standard.
The price was at the high end of usual Japanese hotels - but I guess all the Nikko hotels probably had the same issue.
- good location - near the station - very nice and caring staff
- poorly decorated - old - lack of body lotion - too expensive
The room is too hot since the A/C system is centrally controlled.
After an exhausting day of sightseeing, it was perfect to get off the train in Nikko and just walk across the road. Great location, nice hotel, relaxing onsen, and comfortable beds.
It would have been nice to have wifi, but I knew going in that I wouldn't have it.
close to all transport services, shops and restaurants.
no Wi fi facility
Right across from JR Nikko station and bus stop to the shrines and beyond. Only a short walk to shops and restaurants. Very friendly staff. Decent onsen with outdoor tub. Great breakfast food choices
Room is very clean.Breakfast buffet is awesome.
Dining for dinner option is relatively poor, if its not a 3500 buffet menu (which I think its a bit expensive), but I had to eat because all the restaurants and shops nearby were close after 5pm. Public bath (or onsen) is smaller than I expected.
Situation, room, crew. Nice Onsen.
Clean room of sufficient size Excellent breakfast buffet Excellent location Free WiFi available
The Restaurant has a non-sufficient ventilation. Hence after breakfast or dinner the clothes smell intensively - in fact you could see the smoke from the open kitchen in the restaurant room. Though they appeared to be freshly washed and the touching was very nice the towels in the room smelled a bit like old rugs.
Very convenient to JR Nikko Station. Room was nice with a window.
Very late check in time though you could drop off luggage. Restaurant expensive and meaty.
