Opening in August 2014, Richmond Hotel Tokyo Suidobashi is located just a 2-minute walk to Tokyo Dome and Tokyo Dome City Attractions.
Score from 65 reviews Excellent
Opened in August 2014, this hotel is in a great location just a 3-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station, offering direct services to Harajuku, Shibuya and Akihabara areas, all within a 20-minute train...
Score from 103 reviews Excellent
Everything.. Especially the staffs who speaks fluent english, very helpful and informative.. There is nothing that I asked, of which they dont have an answer for.. Thank you! Will definetely recommend this hotel to colleagues who will visit Tokyo...
5 minute walk to Suidobashi station. Clean and well appointed. Great sound proofing, so very quiet. Free wi fi. A quick walk to many bargain priced eateries, so no need to eat in their nice, but expensive restaurant.
Could have had Fox sport on the TV. They had about 10 Japanese channels, 1 BBC news and Discovery channel. Not a great issue, but as we were there at the time of the GP, it would have been nice to have been able to watch it.
Superb, quiet location one block from busy streets, restaurants, interesting sights. Perfect for a few days or a longer stay. Concierge and the rest of the staff were very helpful 24/7.
Location. Walk to everything, including train station. Cleanliness. Excellent helpful staff.
Expensive breakfast buffet. Expensive and poor Japanese dinner.
Location close to Suidobashi station, quiet area, close to Tokyo Dome City where there were lots of restaurants and even a great rollercoaster! Immaculate and lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable. Appreciated the coin laundry machine. The hotel website gave good directions with map and there were street signs to help us find our way too. Service always prompt and excellent. Thank you!
Can't fault the place, loved it.
Liked the room and an extremely helpful staff. Close to a station. Fairly easy to get to and from the Airport. Close to two subway lines.
Had to pay for late check out $20/hr, never had to do that in all my travels.
location cleanliness size of room
The staff did not offer me the original rate for the rest of my stay when I wanted to change my schedule (to go out of town for a day in the middle of my 2-week stay), so I had to spend more than an hour to re-book the same hotel via Booking.com for the rest of my trip at a MUCH lower rate than the one offered by the hotel over the counter. That's ridiculous! No option for NOT changing the bedding and towels daily (not environmental friendly!)
It's a very neat small hotel with Japanese Garden design concept, simple, clean and zen. Location is not bad, a few min walk to JR station and Metro. The available of massage chairs (momi-momi) in a common room.
We stayed pretty long, closed to 2 weeks but the hotel did not offer any options like other hotels do by offering a card that we could place as and when we want to change the sheets, towers and pajamas. We feel a bit guilty on the laundry consumption; like to suggest the hotel to offer this option.
Hotel Niwa is very pleasant, clean and the staff are very attentive. We very much enjoyed our stay and certainly would stay again when we return to Tokyo. The internet worked very well so I'm not sure what other reviews I have seen are referring too. Overall 9/10!
In the morning a lot of light comes into the room, I would recommend better curtains or shades.
This hotel was on a list of recommendations for a Tokyo meeting but we stayed on vacation for further week there. It was a very good choice as we found it convenient to the many restaurants in the Jimbocho area, close to a JR and subway stations, and on a quiet street still near a major north-south street. The staff was very helpful, our superior twin room comfortable and quiet, and the bathroom very well appointed. One of us is a gardener and so appreciated the small landscaped area in front of the hotel. Its refined elegance set the tone for the entire place. We'll be recommending the Niwa to any friends who may travel to Tokyo.
Being asked for an egg order even before getting to our table.
The rooms are small by western standards but beautifully planned and attractive. The location is excellent close to several metro stations. All of the staff are courteous and friendly and the restaurant is not cheap but has delicious food.
There are no negatives for me.
- Location (3 minutes walk from the station) - Value - Rooms - Wifi - TOKYO !
This hotel is excellent value for money. The design of both the lobby and the rooms is very beautiful and represents a nice mixture of modernity and classical Japanese interior. The rooms are not excessively big but not too small either. The staff is very friendly and helpful in all matters. The hotel is situated in a quiet street, and at walking distance from Suidobashi metro and JR lines. From there, you can get in less than 15 minutes to Ginza, Shinjuku or Ueno. As for most places in Tokyo, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.
Very clean and attractive room with Japanese design features, very helpful staff. Good location near Suidobashi station, which is well connected.
The hotel's Japanese restaurant was closed for a private function when I visited
The location of this hotel is really nice: there are a lot of food courts, pubs and restaurants around, the hotel is located in a walk distance from sightseeing places, electronic markets, old book shops, etc. The hotel is well furnished, everything is clear and useful, the staff is friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay there.
The only problem is the Internet connection which is really slow and not reliable.
The hotel is close to both Suidobashi subway and JR East Stations (one day subway ticket including all lines is 1000 yen for adults and it is enough to visit every point in the city). The location is secure. The room is clean. Everyday they check the room, clean the bathroom, put two 500 ml bottled water to the refrigerator, and fill tea bags. The room atmosphere including air conditioner is ideal for sleeping. There is wired internet and WiFi in the room. There is a McDonalds, Starbucks and Seven Eleven in the 400 m perimeter. I did not use restaurants. Next time I will again stay at this hotel.
Wired internet was off two nights in the room.
The hotel was in a good location not too far from a JR line. The hotel was lovely and on a quiet road so was peaceful. The room was small, but ok for a base. Overall we would stay there again as there was nothing to fault with it.
- clean - good price - good service - great location
- expensive breakfast
I liked the pajamas on the bed each night.
The front desk doesn't know the answer to simple things like "Where are atm machines that will take American cards?"
friendly staff, we were there for honeymoon and the staff arranged for us higher floor attach with a congratulatory card for our wedding, really impressed, the woom is quite nice and the garden at each floor is such a nice place to relax, free massage chair at 3rd floor
the room is a little bit small
Staff, design, comfort, location, service
Gym, massage chairs, laundry room. Clean bedroom. Location not bad too!
Traveladptors should be readily available for loan.
Professional level of employees and their willingness to assist in making stay at Niwa an experience
Location, style, staff attitude.
Good location near 2 different subway stations Breakfast Facilities such as terrace and laundry much appreciated when on a long trip
Room fairly small
