Score from 209 reviews Very good
A friend and I booked two seperate single rooms there but eventually were told on the day of our arrival that we actually had to share a single room because there was a misunderstanding and they overbooked the hostel. It was without any warning and for that the price was reduced by only 7€.
Everything is handy, enough personal room and public space, easy to find, staff friendly
Near JR, but a little far from downtown, if you prefer other transport, you need to transit---but this is the only disadvantage I think
The location was very good, but a bit hard to find. The owner was very nice. The house was very clean, and the kitchen has a lot of utensils and such that you can use to cook and eat.
Beds in Japan are generally quite hard, but mine here was uncomfortably so. There's no map of Tokyo in the kaikan, so you'll need to bring one or get one at an information point (the tokyo station information point has some good ones)
best location ever just a few minute walk from JR station and near LIFE supermarket and not far from the river
not so comfortable to sleep and quite small space in the dormitory
the location is good and the price is reasonable. there is a fridge in the room.
Cookfacilities, a lot of space (boxes) to put in your stuff, nice bed.
Not many girls are outgoing (talking pontaniously) and have their own thing going on
its near by subway!
The location is good, close to JR Kita-Akabane station.
The sink in bathroom was blocked.
supermarket and jr station close by enough space in the room to store your bags
reception is rarely occupied commun area a bit chaotic, as not always clear what items are commun and what belongs to other guests
The price and location. It was really close to the station. Wifi was really good!
The other people didn't talk at all. The hostel was really hard to find at the first time.
I had never stayed at a hostel before, and I really liked the fact that you could be social and meet new people but at the same time you could go to your room/bed and have privacy.
Location near train station but make sure you go out the correct exit. Supermarket nearby and you can cook at the premises
Dusty and damp smell
Is far from the center. Difficult to find the first time
few minutes walk from the train station, about 15 mins by train from shinjuku stn. just a good place to store your things and go to sleep
Very close to the station! The staff is also very nice and obviously try hard. It was very secure and I felt safe as a lone female traveler.
It was very dirty. I was very thankful that I did not have to stay there very long.
the kitchen is very comfortable, and large enough. the wi fi is great the size of the bed is god and they give nice warm blankets
the sleeping room is a bit small, you dont have alot of place to move but there is enough place to storage your equipment.
One minute walk far from the jr station Kita Akabane and 18 minutes by train, far from Shinjuku station.
This is not a real hostel for backpackers because there are guests that stay for long terms. Cleanliness would have to be improved in the common areas, such as kitchen.
