Amazing location, view on Mt Fuji from the front of the hotel, hot springs outside the hotel, cosmetics, delicious food
Hotel is quite old and needs restoration
The location is excellent for walkers. 15 minutes walk from the lake and the ropeway, nearby trails leading up Kamiyama. The rooms are large and beautifully appointed. The site is quiet. The onsen, free to guests, is fantastic. There is a good view of Fujisan from the patio on each floor. Easy access by bus from Odawara and direct from Shinjuku.
The restaurants are fantastically expensive, maybe they're worth it, but there are inexpensive eateries down by the lake.
Hotel exterior may not look great but interior of the hotel is gorgeous, very well maintained and clean. My room is spacious and comes with a dressing table just outside the toilet which is very convenient. Very quiet and serene surroundings and delicious Japanese breakfast. Onsen open till late night for guests convenience.
Location is a bit far from Hakone-Yumoto station but since it is located higher on the mountain, to gives spectacular view. We managed to catch a glimpse of Fuji-san on the last day of our stay!
Freindly staff and always willing to help. comfy bed abd reasonably priced
Food was nice but very expensive in the hotel.
Nice hotel, but a bit old. Bus stop next to the hotel. Beautiful location.
Needs some renovation. Slow internet connecton.
Location was good - close to Togendai ropeway terminal and on the local bus route. Onsen onsite was bliss.
Transport to hotel was tricky later in the evening (ropeway closes at 515pm), requiring a taxi from Gora railway station.
Very friendly english-speaking Staff, helpful with all our concerns! The Hotel is more western style than japanese - not particularly a good or a bad thing, just wanted to mention it. Late Checkout (12 pm) and long opening hours for the hotel's own onsen (public bath) until 2 am and then from 5:30 am to 11:30 am. Great hotel!
The location was within 20 minutes walking distance of the lake and a bus stop outside the hotel had frequent buses that took you there as well. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially the gentleman at reception who told us he had been married in New Zealand, our home country. He was lovely to deal with.
The air conditioning was not working that effectively so the room was too hot at night. It needs an upgrade.
The staff were friendly and the place was clean, as you come to expect of hotels in Japan. The weather was bad during my visit but on a clear day the views would be fantastic.
The food available in the Cafe was rather pricey for what it was and the location isn't the best so there's nothing close by to go to instead. The place is in need of an update, it's fairly well maintained but all looking quite dated now.
The hotel is close to Lake Ashi & Ropeway. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, so it is easy to get to. A good place to experience a traditional onsen! Hakone was a lovely region to visit and we enjoyed experiencing all the different forms of transport.
A bit isolated - couldn't really go anywhere else for dinner and the restaurants were expensive (but the food was good).
Friendly staff. Great view in morning from floor balcony of Fuji. Good location with bus stop outside.
Rooms are pretty nice.
No shops for groceries, far away from stores; remember shop before you stay otherwise it's all room service then~
Far from center
A bit worn out interior
Services are expensive and you can't find anything around you to buy.
Near the bus stop, convenient
ac in the room, still hot in the room, your phone number on the web site confusing the guest about calling from outside Japan and calling within Japan. Please list both number clearly
The location - views of Mount Fuji and very close to the cablecar.
Hotel was fairly quiet when we were there (mid June) so we went by bus to the closest village for something to eat in the evening, village was also quiet (I think out of season for Japan). However really enjoyed our stay in Hakone.
Location: excellent if you just want to relax and disconnect from everything. Helpful staff and facilites were clean and in good condition. Overall a great experience.
Good location with convenient bus station just outside the hotel, people are friendly and the room is very clean.
No air-conditioner and no electric fan in the room when we stayed there. (It's June and very hot in the night!)
Staff very friendly.
Free onsen. Wireless internet was available in the room although was not listed as available when booking. Spacious room compared to ones in Tokyo or Kyoto for similar price.
Room looked a bit old.
The outdoor onsen
24hours of free hot spring.
No restaurant around the hotel.
