Overall good, and spacious room. I just had a bad experience with the toilet, the water was float on the floor.
Despite that Ryogoku was a bit far from main and popular destinations such as Shibuya, Harajuku, etc. However, this place has their own charms and i could found so many good restaurants nearby with affordable price! (more or less 5USD)

Bad smell, tobacco smell everywhere.
Near JR, easy to get train. There r many restaurants around there, that's great.
April 8, 2015
Private room. Less than half the cost that I paid for a similar hotel in Osaka. A couple convenience stores, McDonalds, and restaurants nearby.
February 28, 2015
For 3 people, the room is too small.
The breakfast is good, the room is comfortable and clean.
January 18, 2015
Thin walls if you have noisy neighbours.

Not the hotel's fault, but my neighbor's room was quite loud late at night.
Comfortable, friendly stay. Excellent location.

Check Out time too early 10AM.
Good location for JR, Breakfast is good.

No English speaking stuff, sometimes hard to communicate. Hotel is a bit old.
Fair price. A lot of places for food within 5 mins walk.

Very good brekfast, vry good location-only 2min from Ryogoku station
October 26, 2014
Location close to subways Value for money Staff were friendly and helpful Food shops nearby
October 2, 2014
- Staff not very fluent in English - Location a bit off - Expensive for the quality of hotel
- Location is fairly ok, near Asakusa area but you still need to take a taxi or ride a train or walk (a bit further). - Booked a twin room -requested for one King/Queen bed but gave 2 single beds. Room is too small. - There are lots of better options in Asakusa area for the same price.

Room and toile small but adequate. But I guess for Tokyo, that's not too bad.
Breakfast. Wifi in rooms even though the earlier review said lan cable in the room. Good location near Sumo stadium and edo museum.. Lots of restaurants nearby. The room I got was quiet, perhaps on the side away from the train line.
September 5, 2014
The hotel is quite old but I don't really mind.
Ryogoku station is only 2 stops from Akihabara. And the hotel is right across the street from the station. The room is a bit more spacious than the other hotels in Tokyo. There are convenience stores and many restaurants around. I could see the Tokyo Skytree from my room.
August 26, 2014
a little bit noise from train until midnight (may be it's too close to the rail way >_<)
easy to travel by JR and Metro chilling place tiny room but very good facilities friendly staffs
August 24, 2014
a large proportion, in not all of the staff doesn't understand basic english sentences. Furthermore they don't seem to be very polite in comparison to other hotels I stayed in Japan.
good location next to the train station.
August 3, 2014
room a bit small
very close to JR station, room rate, staff friendly, coin-operated laundry machine
July 31, 2014
Hotel likely has not been renovated for a long time that is rather evident.
Good location, very easy to find.
July 28, 2014
The location is a bit not convenient if you need to go downtown area frenquently. One or two staff not very friendly.
Very clean! Food is also good.
July 16, 2014
One of the lifts was out of order so this was slow.
It is a little out of the hustle and bustle of Tokyo but it is easy to get around with the train & tram on your doorstep. We used the hotel's bikes to cycle up to the Skytree Tower and found the Edo- Tokyo Museum excellent ( make sure you get a free guide though).
July 8, 2014
So close to the train station that there is some noise from the trains that can be heard.
Very close to both train station and the metro. Clean and nice rooms.
July 1, 2014
Not a 3 star hotel- uncomfortable bed, very run down facilities and very grim decoration. In need of renovation although I believe there is a new block in the hotel. Mould in bathroom too. although as tourists we should learn some Japanese but none of the hotel staff speak a word of English - considering that they cater for foreigners there should be some effort from the hotel staff to learn English.

I just thought the location was kind of below par!
It was a solid place if you like being by somo!
May 24, 2014
Smoking in the restaurant which directly connects to the lobby. Only a thin 6 foot divider is situated between the lobby and restaurant which does not block the smoke at all. Assumption that if there is a no smoking area then it was no more than a matter an imaginary super-special-powered-extra-energy-sheilded-point-barrier-line-x2_ver.3 (Revolution series "for the ladies").
Location was great easy to access rail, minute walk to JR line which is 2 stops away from Akihabara, which you can take the Yamanote line and circle around the city with ease. A bit more of a distance about a 13min walk to Bakurocho Station if you want to head to Yokohama or Kamakura. All in all nice area and convenient.
