The owner is not only kind and helpful, he makes you feel absolutely good at ease. Don't go there without taking the breakfast! The experience is fantastic. I warmly recommend you Rindou No Le.
tea set in my room bath(room) electric carpet
The staff was really really friendly and kind. Like for example the shuttle service, he brought us up and down to the station. On our last day, he offered to bring our luggage to the station so that we don't have to return to take it. If we were to walk it would take about 15 minutes, then again the view during that 15minutes is beautiful
The owner was very kind and gentle! And the wife was also kind and cute! My English isn't very good, but it won't be a problem to stay in. The breakfast is delicious! I will sure going back to Nikkon again. Also I will choose to stay in Rindou No Ie again!
The owners were very friendly and kind. They made sure that everything was in place and that I had a good time. The breakfast was really good for the amount money paid.
The location is a bit off but you can always approach the staff at the train station to call the owners and they will be there to pick you up in minutes.
The elderly couple Shizuo and Keiko provided us with the warmest accommodation experience. Their attention to detail, friendliness, concern and promptness in replying emails impressed us greatly. The place is a short distance from Tobu Nikko Station, and Shizuo drove us to and fro which took about 10 minutes per trip. The room was simple, cosy and traditional. There was a makeshift "onsen" in the shared bathroom in the form of a large bathtub which could contain two people. Shizuo prepared that hot bath in the evening for every guest, and this was especially good to have during winter. I was touched by Shizuo and Keiko's sincerity and politeness, and would highly recommend this place to Nikko visitors!
Lovely landlord couple. Extremely kind and welcoming. Recommended.
Amazing and gracious hosts. I love my stay!
The owner is an amazing hard worker and very nice. The breakfast is really tasty and beautifully presented. There is a lot of love put onto this place.
Friendly host. Very warm.
This is a wonderful ryokan guest house with four bedrooms upstairs. There's a small comfortable living room downstairs, artfully and uniquely decorated, along with many cards and gifts that prior visitors from around the world have sent. The breakfast is artistically displayed and so good. We loved our visit here!
Can't think of anything that we didn't like...
The house is in a beautiful location just outside central Nikko. Our room was traditional, with comfy futons, yutaka and lovely decorative features. Our hosts Shizuo and Keiko were incredibly welcoming and helpful. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and we arrived to find a card and box of chocolates. The breakfast was also the best we had in Japan!
best service, nice meal and feel as second home.
Just want to come back again
Service from house owners are very nice, very polite. The house is very clean. And the environment is quite.
The house is a little bit far away if you walk, but it is acceptable.
Japanese style guest room is very clear and well sleep. The host Sizuo san is very kindly and friendly .We phone the guest house when we arrive JR 日光 station, after 10 mins Shiuzo san came to pick us up .The bathroom is large and clean, we do relax bathing. The most surprise us is the yummy breakfast , definitely worthy it to try . The host Keiko san can speak english well. She is so helpful to help us arrange our trip. Shiuzo & Keiko take good care of every guest. Definitely, we'll come back to stay.
Room is dirty and bad, полный пиздец а не отель, breakfast zero, warmer smell diesel, никогда не останавливает ест здесь
Our second stay here. We enjoyed this minshuku so much the first time that we had to return. You are a guest in their home - a great experience. The owners go to a lot of trouble to help you and explain customs. Relaxing in the bath is great after a day of sight seeing. Definitely arrange the Japanese breakfast - it is delicious. Enjoyed walking in town and the tourist sights in Nikko.
if you have the chance to stay in nikko try this lovely hotel.
Owner was very courteous and helped on multiple occasions above and beyond the call of duty including finding and returning lost possessions and sending us to/from the train station.
- felt like staying with family as hosts were very kind and taking so much care of customers (even offered pick up service to station as well as driving to and back from restaurants and onsen) - delicious breakfast in nice japanese style room - good location outside of nikko (15min walk to nikko town; 15min walk to shrines/temples)
Warm hospitality, spotless, great breakfast, quiet neighbourhood
We were met at the train station by the owner, a very pleasant and helpful man. This is a traditional Ryokan with shared bathroom facilities and thin walls and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is very clean. The futon I used the first night was thin and a little too firm for me but I found additional futon 'mattresses' in the closet and after adding 2 more mats, I slept very comfortably. Tea is served in the room in the afternoon and a very nice Japanese breakfast is included. If you don't travel with a smartphone, there is a laptop in the lobby to check your email. There are also laundry machines available. The location is great with only a 10-15 minute walk into town to catch a bus to the attractions.
There is a cat living in the house; if you have cat allergies, pack some antihistamine.
The couple who run this place are awesome as everyone says. Small titbits are that your doors aren't locked if you are out of your room and we all share two toilets, one seated the other for squatting but honestly never had a problem with queuing despite the place being at max capacity. We also all share the same dual shower, and a massive bathtub which is awesome. This place is great for couples like us who want an experience, but we saw families with babies smiling and having fun too. The place is 5-10mins from the station and despite repeated offers to drive us we prefered to walk over the bridge looking at the water and mountains. All and all one of the best decisions you could make is to experience Japanese hospitality at it's finest.
The hosts were incredibly kind, and even delivered our bags to us at the train station after we checked out. The room was basic but had everything we needed, including Yukata, blow dryer and Wifi. Comfortable futons
A little ways from restaurants, shops, etc. The shared toilets could be cleaner.
