Friendly staff, clean & spacious room (For Japan), easy access & food always available near by.
great location for dining and shopping.
A bit noisy during the night. Out dated facilities.
Location Nearby subway Nearby cafes and coffe shops
Chinatown. We were in a smoking room as smokers, but found the whole floor smelt of cigarettes from the Elevator and through the hallways. Airconditioning not drawing out smell like other Hotels do. Room decor a bit old - water stained lamps and quilt covers marked.
View from hotel room
Central heating was too hot made the room stuffy and uncomfortable
Helpfulness of staff
Having to pay for Wi-Fi & limited breakfast offerings, given the price.
Right by the busiest part of China town yet don't notice any noise. Lots of choices for food just out the door. The subway exit has elevator which is helpful for people with big luggage.
Location, size of room, helpful staff. There are no free coffee or tea bags with the room though.
Breakfast only starts at 7 which could be a problem if you have early meetings.
Great location, clean & neat. Staff friendly & very helpful. Only had breakfast at hotel but meals very nice. Great variety & well priced.
Thought the beds and pillows a bit on the hard side. Took few days to get used to them.
STAFF BREAKFAST LOCATION
LACK OF TOURIST INFO
Although the language was a barrier to understand each other, the employees were excellent , patient and ineative toward our comfort stay . Thank you from heart
We loved the staff, they were very helpful, friendly, and always willing to go out of their way to say hello. The Rose Hotel was in an excellent location, in Chinatown, and very close to the subway. The rooms were very spacious for Japanese standards and clean. We said farewell to the staff as if we were leaving family behind.
The beds were on the hard side but that is something that can be easily rectified. On the non smoking floors there is still a hint of cigarette smoke, but not enough to complain about.
Location and helpful and friendly staff
if it wasn't for the hotel is being near the china town, we would not visit the town so it was good that experiencing china town.
people who was working the front desk was not friendly I felt.
Professionalism of staff
Smell of old cigarette smoke Temperature in room was uncomfortably warm at times
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and neat, shower had plenty of water pressure. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do, very close to train and bus service. We will definitely stay here again.
There really wasn't anything we didn't like, some hotel staff had problems with english but always found someone to help.
Friendlyness of staff, flexibility of booking, quality of beds
Didn't have the wired internet connection as advertised, but wifi worked fine. The location of this hotel is not ideal if you need to travel south (like I did, connection to Yokohama is good, connection to Kamiooka involves walking 1.5km first).
I loved everything about the Rose Hotel. Service and staff was so great. Minami-san and Kaori-san were the best with always a friendly smile. Everyone spoke English and helped with everything. I will always go there when I am in Yokohama. Food and service in Restaurants were great.
Loction Nice room, not too small Good service
Big room Nice atmosphere, and what some might see as "dated furnishing", we'd rather see as patina Nice and helpfull staff with just about sufficient knowledge of english (some very good) Nice location close to subway and very close to China Town.
The breakfast is overpriced The pool/rooftop was a bit disappointing (atmosphere) and toddlers are not allowed in. We had the availability of a baby crib confirmed via email months ahead but when we arrived we had to "fight" for it as we were told none was available.
We were three colleagues trying to minimize our expenses while attending a local conference. We had several complicated requests and all were dealt with immediately and efficiently. The hotel staff bent over backwards to help us and answer our questions.
the pool is not the best, but it's nice to have a pool in any case !
Very friendly staff, although not everybody speaks English; good location near Chinatown and very close to the pier (visit Osanbashi at night!), good breakfast buffet with Japanese, Chinese and Western food; good and not to pricy laundry service
Nothing to complain
Comfort, location, staff, transport.
location is great, right in the chinatown
this hotel must be going through some tough financial times. asked for two extra packs of tea before we checked out in the morning, the young guy was hesistent to bring it and the old lady manager told us they are giving it to us as a favor. She tried to explain that they replace tea bags once a day and gave us dirty looks for asking for more....come on old lady! its just freakin 2 tea bags!
The french restaurant was very good; so were the sweets they were selling.
On the northern edge of Chinatown and close to a metro station from which trains go through to Yokohama and even Shibuya. Walking distance to waterfront. Staff were helpful in a variety of circumstances. Room was large enough, better than our room in Tokyo (!). It had one of those great Japanese toilets.
Breakfast like many hotels a bit overpriced, though a wide range was available. If you're there for a while better to stock up from supermarket. Not many breakfast alternatives in Chinatown, though coffee was accessible nearby. Wifi was a bit uneven but they did their best to help and could always get it to work somewhere; it was free but best to check.
