Offering modern luxurious rooms with free Wi-Fi, Ryumeikan Tokyo belies its century-old history. It features a restaurant with panoramic city views, just a 5-minute walk from Tokyo Station. The elegant sound-proof rooms feature 2 pillow types and extra long beds. They have an flat-screen TV, an air purification/humidifier, and a computer can be rented for in-room use. Ryumeikan Hotel Tokyo provides mobile phone rentals, quick laundry service, and travel information. It houses a launderette and drink vending machines. At the top-floor restaurant Hanagoyomi, Japanese food is served with sweeping views of Tokyo. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Nihombashi Subway Station, and a 10-minute train ride from shopping districts Akihabara and Ginza. Shibuya, Roppongi, and Shinjuku are 30-minutes away by train. Perfect location, close to Ginza, Emperor gardens, Tokyo Central station, shopping, dining and business areas (all reachable by foot); Roppongi and Akihabara just 10 min by rail. Nice room design, newly renovatetd, perfectly clean and tidy. Amenities, bath robe, tube and equipment are up to the highest standards. Free wifi in a room. Paying more than US$350 a night (100% prepaid at check-in) it is natural to expect minibar not to be absolutely empty and TV in-room entertaiment system not to be locked. Restaurant advise of concierge was just ridiculous: they made us wait for 10 min while were checking on the internet and finally sent us to some pizza place for a sea food.

Rooms very clean and well-organised. Small, but that's the norm in Japan. The staff on arrival were a bit unfriendly and weren't particularly helpful when we asked about transport to the airport early in the morning (when public transport not yet active). Also, they insisted we pay upfront, which we found a little strange: We had stayed at 2 other hotels in Japan, and they hadn't insisted on this, so we found it odd.

The hotel staff could speak English reasonably well, were courteous. Very convenient location The rooms are quite small, there is no provision for a wardrobe and hence is not very comfortable for 3-4 days stay.

A comfortable well-run hotel in central Tokyo close to Tokyo station and several metro lines. The room was small but very well designed to make the most of the space, and even a bathtub was fitted in.

The service was impeccable. The facilities are modern, comfortable and well-kept. The standard double room was large enough for two adults and the shower was luxurious. The only drawback at all was that there was no dresser to store clothing, so we had to work out of our suitcases. It is in a great location in central Tokyo across from the main train station.

The location adjacent to Tokyo station is superb. Many shops and restaurants in the vicinity. The staff is very kind and effective. The rooms are very small and lack closet space. This is not unusual in big cities in Japan and results in an reasonable room rate. Highly recommended.

The location of hotel is excellent, only a few minutes walk to the Tokyo station and subway stations. The hotel staff is very frinedly and efficient in providing help. The room is very clean. I especially like the bathroom and the toilet, which is very well equipped.

Fantastic hotel in a great location to see Tokyo and to travel to the rest of Japan. The hotel staff were always really helpful and very friendly. The rooms were a good size - much better than we were expecting given what we'd heard of some hotels in Japan. We would definitely recommend it and would go back and stay there again.

Location very convenient for Tokyo Station. The comprehensive Japanese breakfast buffet was very tasty with a superb view from the 15th floor restaurant. The wired internet access in the room was free and worked very well. The toilet had a heated seat and could be switched into bidet mode - fantastic! Not particularly a surprise in Central Tokyo, but the room was very cramped, although well appointed. One side of the double bed was up against the wall.

Most impressed on our return stay when our baggages which we stored in the hotel were already in our room when we checked. Staff were able to communicate in english and were very professional and friendly. I would cwetainly recommemd the hotel to friends.

The hotel was located close to Tokyo station, the hotel offered us the Japanese Room for the family. The room was very clean and spacious for a hotel in Japan. The facilities in the room were very good. The lobby is located on the 15th floor with the rooms below, so it gave the impression we were not staying in a hotel as we were not trippin through the lobby in our travels.. The hotels external signage is small, but we had directions off the web on how to get there.
