100m from the metro station. Two stations from Sinjuku. Lots stores and restuants near by. The staff is very nice with good English with is super rare in Japan.
The room is very small. Almost no space to unfold a big luggage case. The breakfast is super simple. Only juice, coffe, bread and toast.
The hotel was easy to find.
The room was cramped and uncomfortable. We'd stayed elsewhere in Toyko in a small room that was much cleaner and comfortable. Loud guests next door through thin walls, dripping toilet and an annoying repetitive motor noise meant NO sleep. Don't stay here, shop around.
It was the second time I stayed at Sakura Hotel Hatagaya, and I'm really glad I could get a room at the right time. The staff is very friendly and understanding, great team. The room was clean and comfortable for me as usual. And location is one of the best: easy access to Shinjuku, there are Origin bentou, Lawson, Doutor coffee, Book store, Sento (bath house) nearby.
Nothing important, just breakfast being lackluster as of now (maybe it will be more varied in the future), the coffee is nice :) Also SDTV - keep this in mind if you are going to use your gaming console in the room.
Staff spoke English, good location (within 3mins walk of Hatagaya subway station if you know which exit to take!), good unlimited basic breakfast
Room very small! Rooms were like university dormitory rooms, but I guess for the location and price, that's fair.
That the people at the desk called me by name
Staff calling me by name and greeting me everyday!
The staff were helpful. The lift worked. It was clean.
Tiny room, even by Tokyo standards. Old hotel, poor Wifi reception. Not much choice for breakfast. Takes 2 trains to go anywhere interesting. Not on JR line. Ordinary suburban location. Hard to find the hotel the first time.
Own bathroom was a plus. Location is 2 mins subway to Shinjuku. Area is really cheap for food.
Bathroom stank like sewage for 5 out of the 7 days. Smelt it in the bedroom too. Cleaners will leave all the rooms open whilst cleaning during the day. Literally anyone can walk in. Breakfast is a let down. Cheap bread, bad coffee, and water soup is on offer. No vitamins here. It's expensive for what you get. Pay the little bit more and get a better hotel.
Good location of the hotel and English spoken staff made the hotel convenient for commuting to and fro
The drainage system passing through the hotel rooms kept us awake whole night which even hotel staff were aware but were helpless and the breakfast serving only breads with juice and tea was incomplete without eggs or fruits.
Very accessible to train station (about 1 min walk)
There is a foul smell in the toilet but clean.
This was an excellent place to stay. Very near to shops, restaurants, and the subway. The staff are very helpful about places to see and how to get to those places.
The free breakfast is okay if you eat bread. I don't so helped myself to juice and herbal tea. No problem as you can buy sushi and rice boats at the corner Family Mart.
Nice staff to converse with. Good location.
Pretty small toilet that was kinda difficult to manuveur around. Be careful when adjusting the water- the hot water can get pretty hot! Otherwise, its good location & nice friendly staff makes up for the less than satisfactory toilet!
breakfast is too little choice and not value for money
Location is good near subway and a few 24 hours shop nearby .
Room is a bit small , but ok for a Jp hotel.
Walls thin, could hear everything.
excellent location friendly, accommodating staff
It was really close to Hatagaya Train Station, thus commuting throughout Tokyo cosmopolitan was indeed easy. As we are Muslim family traveler, the Halal facilities and food provides was really helpful and peace of mind.
Perhaps a standard to Japanese culture, the space in the our room was really tight and compact. We did brought a baby stroller, keeping them in the room along with two luggage really troublesome.
Best things is Halal Food avaliable and the craw speek Englishe and Arabic very well
Simply worst money minded hotel
Customer satisfaction no way important to these people breakfast no hotels ll provide just bread n coffee not only me all guests came to fight we lodged police complaint against tis hotel far very far from city no one prefers tis Sakura world's g8 cheater
Very friendly, plenty of amenities. Staff where very helpful. The rooms where big enough ( we had a 3 share) and the bed and pillows very comfy.
The hot water pressure in the shower in the rooms on the fifth floor was terrible. Not something you could look forward to after walking around in the cold all day then fighting for 20 mins just to keep the water warm enough to wash the shampoo out of your hair....
The atmosphere was more like a hostel in terms of the staff being very friendly and we partied quite a bit. In the one week I spent there, it had become my home. M gonna miss it till I go back and I definitely will go back soon!
Breakfast wasnt great. Very limited options.
reserved quard sharing room with web site pictures showing 4 beds in the end given a room with 2 super single beds room. Not very comfortable with kids of 9 and 12 yrs old.
really helpful staff. good value for money
hatagaya is a bit difficult to get to via public transport. just cough up the dough for a taxi. shinjuku station is a headache for the uninitiated.
Sakura Hotel Hatagaya is a hotel with a hostel vibe. Located close to the Hatagaya train station via the Keio New Line, it's easily accessible. Amenities are basic but good and clean and their English-speaking staff really go out of their way to help you locate your next hotel, map your trip on the subway map and would even call your place of destination to check for landmarks and the like. They also host free walking tours and great parties. They're great!
