proximity to railway stn. Free drinks and coffee. Subway just outside the door. Reception sells subway and bus passes.
Wifi occasionally patchy.
Loved the welcome drinks, the spa and the staff.
Our room wasn't cleaned on our second night but we slept in quite late.
Close to Kyoto train station
We wanted to stay an extra night however, was not made to feel welcome and was given a quote of double the price we had paid the previous night. Wifi was very slow and not worth using.
We enjoyed the stay in the hotel. It's very new, clean and quiet. The public bath is really good. The bar provide a free drink every night. The terrace is cozy.
The overpriced breakfast (1500jpy): varies bread and sandwiches, but not many Japanese food choices.
Friendly staff. Value for money
We stayed here only for one night so i cannot really give a comprehensive review. One thing that helped us was they allow you to leave your baggge if (1) your room is not yet available for check-in or (2) you checked out already We checked out in the morning and left our baggage and roam around kyoto and went back around 4pm to collect our things. No late checkout fee. The hotel is literally in front of the subway station. However if you have luggages, it's difficult as stations have no escalator or elevator. Anyway, it is still walking distance to Kyoto Station and thats what we did when we left instead of carrying our luggages down the stairs. As expected, room is small that you have not enough space to organize your things.
Super convenient location. Subway stop is literally right outside the door--one stop to Kyoto station (which is also walkable, about 5 min away). Coffee & tea are available free in the lounge any time. The coffee in the machine is actually quite delicious!
Breakfast buffet wasn't terrible, but not worth ¥1500
Thought the room was small until we stayed all over Japan. This was the spacious room we stayed at !
The hotel Location is close to subway and comfort to go around kyoto city, easy to find. Reception is very friendly and helpful Room were clean, nice soap, shampoo.
The GPS cannot located the hotel
The staff were always very helpful, polite went out of their way to assist ( eg. My baggage ....carried it out to the taxi for me.remembered I stayed here before.etc
The staff are really nice, well english speaking.
Friendly and very helpful staff who also spoke english.Great breakfast.Nice to have the free drink each evening.Walakble to the train station.Outside terrace very pretty and nice to sit there.
Not a lot around the hotel later at night. In Winter not so conducive to walking further at night. Our room on the roadside if the window was open was noisy, especially as the road crossing sound outside is loud and repetative. If you like an open window try for a room on the other side of the hotel possibly.
small-ish, this hotel is well catered for foreign travellers. It has all minimal amenities, and being on the south side of the station, it may be a little far from major tourist spots, but close enough to the main station.
restaurant/bar was not particularly inviting, but if you're staying only for a bed, it's value for money
Near train station made distant travel easy Free evening drink Onsen Helpful staff
Good WiFi, good sized room, A/C
No desk in room.
Very new inside, self payment machine (check in/out) so staff won't handle any cash. One subway station away from Kyoto Station, so subway 1 day pass is the way to explore the city. Free one drink every night.
Only one laundry room for entire building, was a bit queuing for washing/drying.
10mins walks to JR station, across the road is Metro station. very convenience location. rooms were spacious and clean. The front desk stuffs were very helpful and friendly. thank you.
Very comfortable, the staff were very accomodating!
Subway in the front
Room & Bed small
Great location, with a subway stop just out the door (literally) and 5 min walk to Kyoto Station. Extremely helpful staff- English spoken. Rooms were comfortable. Welcome drink for free every night. Public bath/Onsen was nice.
Standard twin room was very small- no space between the beds. We ended up upgrading our room so we had a bit more space.
The hotel is very close to the subway station and around 5 to 10-min walking distance from the JR station. Public bath and welcome drinks provided. The room is clean and cozy. The staff are very friendly.
I liked most the quiet ambiance although it is just a few minutes walk to kyoto station. The public bath was quite an experience!
Nothing that i disliked.
Room comfort was good, even had a balcony with outdoor table and chairs but was too cold to enjoy. Room was snug and bathroom was compact, like most in Japan. Bathrooms seem to be like caravan style modules but they are adequate and the toiletries are very nice. Seat warmer on the toilet is a nice touch especially winter! Complimentary tea/coffee from 10am - 6pm is great after travelling there or enjoying the sights of Kyoto during your day. The cocktail hour from 6pm - 10pm is a nice touch. One free drink per person (includes alcoholic beverages)
Breakfast selection was limited if you didn't enter early in the morning. If not included in your room rate it costs about 3000 yen for a couple.
the public bath, which can charge you up in cold winter
the hotel is one subway stop away from JR station, and definitely more than 5-min for visitor, it should be clearly stated out.. I tried 10 mins walk around JR station to look for the hotel and have to take a cab in the end
