Staying in a temple was great, peaceful and calming experience. Food was blend but for one night -- no regrets. From visiting the temples, walking in town, relaxing in the courtyard and using the onsen was just wonderful. Morning prayers with the Monks was refreshing!

Too commercialized. Participating in a morning meditation was like being in a museum with a guide.

Very nice room with traditional tatami, futon and an amazing view on the garden. It's located close to the Okunoin cemetry and within reasonnable distance (about 1 km) to the town centre and the Danjo Garan.

The ceremony in the morning was very simple and I did not find it very spiritual as a monk was explaining what was going on in japanese the whole time.

The vegetarian dinner I had was just amazing!! Breakfast was pretty god as well. Such an experience, loved it all! For Japan the room was massive, and so was the bathroom. Very clean and inviting. The staff was helpful although they spoke very little English. They had an extra heater in the room, which was needed at times. Own TV in room, a must when everything closes up early in town. Very close to the massive Okunoin cemetery. Overall Mt. Koya was amazing and the environment is so peaceful and magical! You can enjoy the view just by looking out your window.

No one spoke English. Not the closest location to the city center or temples. The hallways were freezing, the public bathroom was cold too, so book a room with your own bathroom for sure! Had to sleep on a Japanese futon, a very thin one! I had to use the other futon and converters and pile them on top of each other to get a decent nights sleep. But this is a given, if staying at traditional accommodations.

The monastry was an expérience, but the house (Not the room) was very cold.

Die Atmosphäre im Kloster Sekishoin und in Koyasan sind ein Erlebnis. Abendessen und Frühstück waren vegetarisch und sehr lecker. Die Morgenandacht mit den Mönchen stimmte spirituell auf den Tag ein.überhaupt ist Koyasan eine Erfahrung, die sich sehr von allen anderen Reiseeindrücken in Japan abhebt. Ein wunderschönes Erlebnis, das nur durch den Umstand, dass ich zu wenig warme Sachen mithatte, etwas beeinträchtigt wurde.

La nuit dans un temple est une expérience unique.

Die Lage nahe dem riesigen Friedhofsgelände (das Sehenswerteste in Koyasan, wie ich finde) ist ideal. Aber in Koyasan ist ohnehin alles (außer der cable-car-Station) zu Fuß in max. 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Als Tipp: ein Tag Koyasan ist ausreichend.

Die Tempelunterkunft ist ein "Riesen-Ding" und schon recht abgewirtschaftet. Hat eher etwas von einem Schullandheim und die Zimmer können nicht begeistern. Die Morgengebete sind auch nicht gerade "spirituell einnehmend". Im hinteren Teil des Raumes beten die Mönche, vorne bei den Gästen sitzt ein Mönch, redet die ganze Zeit und nimmt die Spenden entgegen. Weiss nicht, ob das immer so ist. Man bekommt vom "Eigentlichen" wenig mit. Das Frühstück bringt einem der vegetarischen Küche, der Spezialität von Koyasan, auch nicht näher, ist übersichtlich und nichts Besonderes hier. Alles sehr auf "Massenbetrieb" ausgelegt. Ich traf Reisende,die gegenüber untergebracht waren und für das gleiche Geld eine viel viel bessere Leistung bekommen haben (HP mit qualitativ tollem Essen auf dem Zimmer und tollen Zimmern - selbst gesehen). Fazit: zu teuer für die Leistungen. Leider die schlechteste Unterkunft auf meiner Reise.

Precio muy alto pero parecido a todos los templos de alrededor. Muy turístico, mucha gente en la ceremonia matutina. Comida no muy sabrosa pero no he probado otra vegetariana.

和尚很友善，亦意外的英語比想像中好。幸運的被編進一間有獨立浴室的房間，浴室很新穎跟清潔！！空間亦很大- ，只是可惜洗頭水用完了沒更換…如此新穎的浴室實在是一大驚喜！精進料理亦很不錯，可惜早吃過飯吃不下全部- ，而早課則需要自己準時起床參與，只是會比較可惜若聽不懂日文（住持會少許英文語去解釋…但不太聽得懂呢）- 。寺廟鄰近巴士站，走十多分鐘亦會走到比較多商店的街道。

Sekishoin это прекрасное место где можно остановиться в Коясан. Рядом остановка автобуса. Все интересные места в шаговой доступности. Радушный прием и чистая, замечательная комната в японском стиле добавили хороших впечатлений от посещения Коясан. Из комнаты выход в японский сад. Очень рекомендую.

Très belle "auberge" ou plutôt Temple, une vue sur le jardin zen incroyable ( à l'automne couleurs incroyables). Chambre confortables, chauffage. Personnel ( moines) accueillant, parle un anglais approximatif mais on comprend. Prière le matin , petit dèj inclus.

Le prix, mais celle ci fait partie des moins chères.

j'ai aimé : le jardin, le bain public (non mixte), la chambre, le petit déjeuné végétarien.

Je n'ai pas aimé : l'accueil du "moinillon", il n'a pas été capable de nous dire si on avait le diné dans le prix (probable PB de compréhension), il nous à fait attendre 30 min (heureusement on est allé à sa rencontre) pour s'occuper d'autres personnes / C'est trop grand, véritable temple/auberge.

- L'originalité du site - Lieu de pèlerinage bouddhiste. - Repas végétarien le soir avec les moines. - Participation à la prière du matin (06h30).
