Takayama Green Hotel  

Lovely hotel. Staff despite some language problems were extremely helpful and went out of their way to co-ordinate travelling timetables!! Shuttle bus to train station. Huge souvenir shops and massage facility. Cherry blossom tree outside the front was stunning.

The central heating was too hot and unable to cool down room without opening windows. No English channels on tv.

Room was enormous, personnel very helpful and friendly. Hotel has 2 public baths, they are excellent and massage was very helpful for a tired tourist :). Restaurants are quite nice (especially the buffet. You have to try the buffet).

No wifi, just a cable. In a hotel of this price range it's a surprise. The "bureau" corner is sufficient, if small, but the fixed lamp is too protruding, bumped into it every time. The light switches are quite confusing, no way to switch every light off from the bed. These being my only complaints, the hotel is evidently great. :)

I loved this hotel. We stayed in one of the luxury rooms which was a very affordable price (around $200 a night for a twin room). The room was big with comfortable beds, a lot of closet space and a nice bathroom. The hotel offers a selection of lovely indoor and outdoor onsen with all the amenities. It is well-located, between the HIda folk village and town. You can walk to everything but the hotel also provides frequent rides to/from the train station and to the morning market. The hotel has numerous restaurants and an enormous gift and food shop. The hotel feels like it's from another era, but is very well-maintained, beautifully clean, and has all the modern conveniences. No wifi, but lan connection and cable provided.

It is clean and comfortable.

Everything in the room is in Japanese - I don't think they really cater for non-Japanese guests E.G. hotel information is in Japanese and all the tv channels are as well. The only thing in English is the terms and conditions of contract! It is also quite pricey.

Our room was very spacious with a well furnished sitting and entrance area. Good views across the town to the distant hills. We were provided with 'kimonos' and slippers for onsen bathing and a wide variety of toiletries. The public bath was superb; indoor and outdoor. The shuttle bus service to and from the JR station was excellent. Very close to town supermarkets.

The restaurants, although many, were too expensive for us. Even a tea/coffee was beyond our budget!

Good Onsen set up and good shops for gifts and food. Really helpful front desk services with good information and attitude.

The hotel is just a short walk (or shuttle ride) from the town center. Staff were 100% courteous, accommodating and helpful. Rooms and facilities were first class.

Staff were very good and very helpful. There were quite a few who spoke wonderful English. Courtesy shuttle bus was very useful. Great facilities such as coin operated laundry (great when travelling with kids, regardless of age) and coin-operated computers for internet access. Staff gave fantastic advice for dinner locations based on our specific needs - such as traditional Japanese food with sake - wonderful place they sent us to - best food so far this trip! Next night we wanted a cheap meal of noodles/soup and again had a fantastic meal. We loved Takayama and loved this hotel. One staff member in particular was fantastic, a lovely lady but I can't remember her name..... Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

It would have been helpful to know about the shuttle ahead of time, and also to get lifts to the station so we could walk the rest of the way. We were lucky and the bus happened to be at the station when we arrived - which was great because it was snowing!!

Kostnadsfri Shuttlebus enligt tidtabell finns för behövande. 2 st. underbara stora fina bad från varma källor/Onsen. Ett riktigt kurhotell. Kvällsbuffen var fantastisk, pröva den.

พนักงานยังพูดภาษาอังกฤษ เข้าใจภาษาอังกฤษได้ไม่ดีนัก ถ้าจะขยับไปสู่โรงแรมระดับ international ที่รับรองนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติได้ต้องพูดและทำความเ- ข้าใจภาษาอังกฤษให้ดีกว่านี้

Struttura un po' datata, ma curata e ricca di servizi, dai ristoranti alle boutique fino ad arrivare ad un vero e proprio onsen, al quale si accede gratuitamente. Le stanze sono grandi, con un ambiente dotato di tatami e tavolino e sedie per la cerimonia del tè. Perfetto.

Meget begejstret for dette hotel, et rigtig dejligt værelse med de bedste faciliteter. Dejligt badeværelse som havde mange ekstra ting med i købet. Det var virkeligt godt. Rummet var dejligt og stort og med en glimrende udsigt. Hotellet har en fin service med pickup fra stationen og de var meget opmærksomme på at vi fik det bedste hele tiden. Onsen var virkelig flot og med gode faciliteter. Det var også dejligt med de kimono vi kunne vælge imellem. Personalet tog sig fint af os under hele opholdet og det er rigtig flot at hotellet har så mange forskellige restauranter. Ligger også godt i forhold til sightseeing af Takayama som er en spændende by jeg varmt kan anbefale.

Mycket vacker design. Fint SPA med varma källor m.m. Bra service och trevlig personal, fina rum och bra frukost. Mycket mysig stad.

- Låg lite avsides från stadens centrum men dagtid fanns shutterbuss till centrum.

Accueil excellent. Le personnel par son assistance se fait un devoir de rendre le séjour le plus facile et le plus agréable possible. Excellent confort digne d'un grand hôtel, les chambres sont spacieuses très bien équipées. L'utilisation gratuite de la navette permet d'accéder assez rapidement à la gare des JR d'ou les points d'intérêt touristiques sont proches. Très bon hôtel à recommander
