Hotel Tateshina  

Rooms were reasonably sized for its prize. Everything was in good condition. Staff were friendly and willing to help. Location is good, but I recommend you to take a cab from Shinjuku station and remember the route. Stayed there for 8 days from 10/03 to 18/03. Loved the place, will definitely return in two years.

Bathroom is too small for tall people or people with longer legs. There is only one socket for you to charge, although it is expandable with a multi-plug.

Friendly staff. Near to Shinjuku Station. Small but has everything you could possibly need.

Ac was a bit hard to get to grips with as all in Japanese characters but there is a fairly detailed guide in the info pack.

Excellent location: close to everything in Shinjuku (take advantage of the underground tunnels when it's cold and you want to walk) and from Shinjuku it's very easy to get even to outer parts of Tokyo. The reception staff consisted of very sympathetic japanese men and they were very, very helpful when I needed to see a doctor and with everything else too. Room was tiny as everything in Tokyo, but offered all the necessary comforts. Very clean. Overall would definitely go there again!

The hotel was a little bit old, and you could see it from the interior, which consequently makes the hotel and the room a little stuffy. Didn't try the breakfast and necessarily wouldn't want to, but I don't know, might be good. Even though it close to the subway tunnel exit C7, you might want to have a map with you, because at first it was a little bit hard to find.

Location is excellent, shinjuku is a central hub, easy access to the surrounding Fuji area makes this an ideal location. Facilities are quite basic, the bathroom was ensuite but very small. But the staff are helpful and everything you need is just around the cornering central shinjuku

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided me with useful local information and helped me get a taxi when I needed one. They remembered my name, and also remembered what I wanted for breakfast each morning.

50 yen to print something seems a little expensive ...

Friendly and accommodating hotel manager. The first person at the desk when I checked in spoke no English and was not very friendly but the manager was there the other days of my stay and was very accommodating. I unfortunately got sick during my stay and he was helpful with directions to the clinic and giving me a Bigger, nonsmoking room when I needed to stay an extra night. Ask to be in the annex if you can, it feels nicer and cleaner, the first room I had smelled a little of smoke, as did the lift.

Small, like most Japanese hotels. Location is good if you don't mind walking a bit, otherwise it is a bit seedier part of town, it all depends what you're looking for. This is an old school business hotel, so it's pretty minimal in terms of amenities, but they manage to have three color-coded porno channels in the rooms, if that's your thing.

Close to the metro station.

Bathroom is for tiny people. It was not clean and the facilities are poor. Old fashioned hotel. Good for only one day stay. Overpriced.

De kamers zijn redelijk ruim voor japanse begrippen, de ligging is erg dichtbij een ingang van de shinjuku-metro, makkelijk te bereiken, dichtbij het centrum van shinjuku en toch erg rustig (zijstraatje)

good wifi. not far from shinjuku (10 min walk). guy at check spone was very nice and efficient and spoke perfect english (with nice british accent).

as usual in japan, small room (but it's ok for a few days) and very small bathroom (bathroom is probably unconfortable if you are 1m85 or over).

部屋全体がタバコの臭いがするので、タバコを吸わない人にはちょっとつらいでしょう。

地理位置很好。在新宿区能有这个价位很是不错。 日本酒店都是一个问题，太小。 这个酒店还算好找。出了JR新宿东口还是很容易找到的。 离歌舞伎一条街真的是超级近。 晚上也很安静。

没有早餐。不过也没关系，可以去外面吃，店非常多。 还是挺好的酒店。

Very good service

The only better deal than this hotel in a desirable neighborhood in Tokyo is a capsule hotel, and those aren't convenient for travelers. The price is great, the location is excellent, the staff is helpful. The room is small but that's Tokyo; everything you really need is in there.

My room was noisy; the walls are thin and there's an old refrigerator that is a nice touch, but which I really should have unplugged because it made a lot of noise each time it turned on. And the hotel is old, but at this price you have to expect that.

Stanze molto piccole e caldissime, ma con aria condizionata! Cattivo odore sempre presente in ascensore!!
