large rooms staff
Staf was so kind, they were helping me with my lost baguage and had time for all my questions. Room is smaller buut super clean and nice. Tovels were changed and room cleaned everyday! Great place to stay and I'll be back if I get to Tokyo again.
near train station both JR/subway and Lawson. near shopping street and Ueno park. clean and safe place. very friendly staffs. you can deposit your bag for the day checking out.
hotel is very close to ueno station. ueno station is connected with every part of tokyo, airport and even other cities outside tokyo. quite and safe place. clean, changed towels and ukata everyday. wi-fi in the room is perfect. kind people. massage chair at the lobby was cool.
Very friendly personnel, they really do their best to help you. They understood English, only couldn't answer back in English. It was harder to find than expected, luckily there was a very friendly man that offered to walk with us when we were looking dumbfounded and confused with our luggage. We were sleeping in a japanese style room, this was a very nice experience. The Lawson next to the hotel was also very nice and Ueno is a great neighboorhood!
The hotel is quite hard to find when first arriving at Ueno station
location, price, cleanness, friendly staff
Clean rooms, A/C worked well, bathroom was clean and traditional shower room was large and clean too
TV was tiny, toilet room was tiny
Near ueno station, nice room, friendly staff
Arrived in Japan at 7 am and had to wait until 3 to check in...
*massage chair machine *Lawson next to the hotel *friendly staff *peaceful location
A view of Mount.Fuji, friendly staffs, free mineral bath and massage chair plus a souvenir shop in the hotel.
Not really concerned to the hotel, just the weather on the day I arrived which was unpleasant.
Easy walk from Ueno station. Quiet, apart from other residents in hallway and lift.
Bed small and uncomfortable. Room and bathroom small.
Curfew at night
NO BEDBUGS!!! Yay! Good location, not too far from both railways (JR and Keisi)--easy walk to get your blood pumping for the exciting day ahead! The rooms are very clean--Daily cleaning and beds made. They lay out fresh robes every day for you to use. The staff were all very nice! WiFi signal was strong. The bidet! Good water pressure and pretty constant temp. Free body sponges/razors. 24-hour Lawson's was next door! Great little restaurant/shops open along the small streets so you can get a quick bite to eat on your way to the station or out. Room is small (double w/private bath), but a good enough size for 2 people who are backpacking--Might be tight if you have a lot of luggage! But the overall value of the hotel room really makes such things a moot point, IMO. I would definitely stay here again!
Bed was fairly hard for my taste, but I've had worse! Complimentary soap/shampoo was a pump bottle/general room use and not individually packaged. No ice machine, but you better get used to that in Japan! Not much else!
The free wifi service. The umbrellas at the lobby.
The check in times.
Very near to Ueno station, easy to get to the train to everywhere in Tokyo...recommended
Despite being a single room, the bathroom and toilet were generously sized.
It's not a simple matter to figure out how to reach it if you have a luggage. You need to cross the road from the Ueno station, and the most direct way is via an overhead bridge which is difficult to get up on with a luggage in tow. There is an elevator on the main street on the side of the hotel, but it goes underground into a maze. May be better to ask for direction first.
I'll be back!
We got the Japanese-style room and it was really cool :) It was clean and comfy. It is 10 minutes away from the Ueno station where you can find a lot of restaurant/shops.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. They are able to speak English. The room, though small, had everything you could possibly want and was very clean and comfortable. The location is quiet, yet only a couple of blocks from the bustling market--very convenient. Great wifi!
Good location. Friendly staff.
Room quite small
Its location is convenience and is easy to access from JR Ueno, Subway Ueno but it is a bit far (10mins) from Keisei train station. If you carry big luggage, you can use underground walk way direct to exit 3 and walk straight around 5 mins to hotel. The hotel is located near to Lawson 24 hrs convenience store so don't worry about what to eat or your toilettes items.
The room in the corner (single) room or twin room are not recommended. Please try to get the room along the walkway which is bigger and newer.
Easy quite place to stay whilst in Tokyo. Close to Ueno station. Law sons family mart next door. Staff speak good English and very helpful. Room was good size, a good place to spend 3 or 4 days!
Bathrooms need to be updated, but function well enough.
