Great location near the garden, castle, market and many restaurants. We didn't have to bus anywhere! Breakfast was plentiful and had lots of variety. Wifi was good. A bit far from the station, but they offer a free shuttle bus to the hotel. Staff were super friendly and even helped me get back a prescription I left after we checked out.

Very good place of Hotel to reach all interesting places! Nice and friendly staff, clean and good rooms.

Near to Daiwa shopping center & Kenrokuen garden (superb garden).

Far from the JR Kanazawa station, by bus 200 yen and by cab 1050 yen.

The place was as generally expected having stayed at the Kumamoto branch,the rooms, facilities and breakfast were good however it was disappointing in a few ways - see dislikes (which were not an issue in Kumamoto)

The coffee was poor quality and not hot - Kumamoto had Dowe Egberts and really hot. The public smoking area was near the IT section and the gaps in the structure allowed the smoke to come into the area which defeats the purpose of have a separate non smoking area.

Well located in the city center and walking distance to all the things to see. Good value for money.

Room is really small, but of course, it is survivable.

Excellent hotel with bus service at the doorsteps

Staff very helpful. Rooms clean. Good central location. Walk to Castle and Gardens.

Even if the decoration is simple, the room has everything.Excellent situation, well equipped room, very clean, free breakfast ....

The only problem, here and in Japan in general, is language. Some receptionists don't speak one word of English, and yet they are young....I Am amazed. English may not be a major subject at school

Everything, we needed, is there. The best we have stayed in many years and we travelled many times a year.

Perfectly located a ten minute walk from Kenrokuen, on a major shopping street with excellent bus connections around the city. Clean comfortable room, sparse but everything there; more a business hotel than a luxury hotel. Price great for the location.

Breakfast was adequate but not very exciting. Small selection and squishy Western-style rolls. Better to eat out or run across the street to the department store, and bring back breakfast rolls and items.

Location, its in front of bus stop and around 3 min walks to Nagamachi Samurai district. Night PJ and green teas are provided in the lobby. More importantly, they provide free shuttle to stations!!!

The bed is hard unable to sleep during the night

Good value for money. It has all the necessary things without innecessary luxuries.

The bed in the small double room is a bit small.

The Toyoko Inn is perfectly situated for a few days stay in Kanazawa. Rooms are small, comfortable and adequate

There is a catch - if you want your room cleaned, you have to be OUT from 10:00-16:00, which is nuts. If you tidy up and leave your towels out, they leave you a bag of clean ones on your door handle. So, don't plan on a midday rest if you want your room cleaned. Also, although breakfast is included, it is pretty awful, unless you are into rice and raw eggs.

The free breakfast was very nice. The free bus to the Kanazawa train station was also very helpful. The location was also perfect for sightseeing around Kanazawa.

The staff made every effort to communicate in English. Some spoke English better than others but it did not matter because the service was outstanding regardless. They went out of their way to provide documents and pamphlets in English and make us feel as comfortable as possible.

Little crowded, not bad, just kinda busy

This hotel of the Toyoko Inn chain is extremely well located in the center of the city in walikng distance to most places of interest. Rooms are spacious and service is impeccable. We really like this place. It is one of best in Toyoko chain.

It can get busy at check-in but staff are very efficient

The room was small (as was described on the website) but was organised in such a smart way that it did not bother us. The location is good: busstop in front of the hotel, Korakuen Garden can be reached within a 10 minute walk.
