Breakfast was great.
I loved the breakfast they provided and I loved the staff who was working. Every morning the old women would greet everyone as they got their breakfast and even allowed us to eat in our rooms since there wasn't any space. They were very welcoming and kind!
I didn't like the location of this hotel just because it was a bit far from the subway station (15 minute walk) and JR Line. It was nearby the Tsukuba express line but that wasn't exactly convenient to travel on when we wanted to explore the city. However, if you don't mind the 5-10 minute walk to the Asakusa Tsukuba express station, i would highly recommend this hotel!
Free breakfast between 7:00-9:30 every morning, letting foreigners try what average Japanese eat for their first meal.
The counter should inform customers they have free shuttle bus while checking in. People could die by walking in such cold winter with large carriages.
Room is small but value for money. Walking distance to Asakusa Ginza station.
A shuttle bus was always available to take you to and from ueno station - great for travelling around Tokyo and then not having to worry about that last train change and walk to the hotel at night. Also perfect for when you are coming from the airport with all your luggage
The bus was slightly inconspicuous all the way around the corner on the outside of ueno station
Bed and breakfast was amazing, very close to the center of Asakusa. Confortable the transfer to Ueno station
The room and aisle smell to much at smoke
The Japanese breakfast, free shuttle bus to Ueno station and location.
We needed to get a taxi from subway as not able to find hotel that easy only ¥1000. Once there a good location and map provided by staff.
Big digger working until late next to windows.
provide shutter bus, staff able to help a lot especially direction, nice location,
Very comfortable.... quite typical Japanese business hotel. Clean, comfortable beds, good breakfasts, overall quite satisfied
About as far from a train or subway station as is possible in Tokyo. Nice hotel but not the most convenient location if walking. If raining, taxi or bus is a must
The old ladys that serves breakfast and the food was great
the girls in the desk, charged me extra for late check out (2 hours), because my husband was sick, he could not get out the bed and was impossible to walk
The proprety, the promptitudemyhe utility of room
Maby the less of milk or cheese!
location, staff, breakfast
room too small
For such a low price, it almost felt like a steal. The room was impeccable. Service was prompt and above and beyond what I would ever expect. .
Breakfast was a little crowded, but the food made up for it. The hotel is a little far from the train stations but the shuttle buses make up for it
free breackfast, windows, clean, confort
nothing especial, just as impersonal as other chain bussiness hotel
nice staff, shutter bus between hotel and Ueno Station, very clean :D
staff is very friendly. i can speak japanese and they love it :) but you still can use basic level english and its enough. free simple breakfast. sausages egg rolls ongiris jam bread butter coffe and green tea. 07-9.30 breakfast time. free shuttle to ueno station every 30 minutes until 10:30 am. and ueno to otel 18:00-23:00. you can use laundry machines, microwave and vending machines. Very good location. Ueno JR station(8in via shuttle, 20min via walk) and asakusa metro station (8min via walk) is close. İts very quiet place and easy to navigate.
beds little hard. other than that everything was cool. considering price ;)
It was a fine hotel, good value for money.
The location, it seemed a bit misleading. The complimentary breakfast: the room was very small and full of people, and it is Japanese-only style.
Good valuae for money.
Travelling as a westerner the breakfast was pretty basic and the breakfast area very noisy and busy with other guests making a poor experience compared to the other Toyoko Inns we stayed at. The bedroom was smaller than the others and the staff not very conversant with the computers which kept going into Japanese which was very frustrating.
Location far from MTR but can walk. Near supermarket.
The food is delicious but not many variety the room is clean
We hope the shuttle bus can send us to more interesting locations
Really nice little breakfast. Morning shuttle bus to Ueno station was well handy (but we didn't know about it until last day :( ). Neighborhood was fun, esp if you like kitchen goods (don't laugh, I mean it). The ramen place next door is one of the best we went to in Japan.
Value for money for a twin bedded room. Breakfast is substantial, consisting of onigiri, rice with side dishes, toast, coffee/ tea.
Cold air seeping into room from under the door.
an amazing stay, a huge room, excellent location. Clean and nice!
