The evening meal was very Japanese and very tasty. The hotel specialty of chicken and bacon boiled with vegetables on burners set on the table was especially tasty. Although the breakfast is principally aimed at Japanese, there is sufficient to satisfy any western's taste.
Big and old fashioned hotel. Lacks ambience. Poor breakfast.
Not really a complaint--just an observation: Very few guests for such a luxurious hotel seemed a bit odd, but perhaps reflected a lull before the high season hordes arrive.
Excellent location--literally a few hundred meters from the station, yet perched high above the river, and exquisite, yet cheap dining; great room; immaculate facilities and reasonable room charge..
The main attractions and dining opportunities of Tsuwano close very early (16:00-17:00) and are quite a some distance from the hotel on foot. We had to grab some food at a convenient store on the other side of town. The maps we we're given indicating restaurants showed out of date/incorrect information.
Great view from the room, free parking, larger room than usual for Japan, beautiful area.
The non-smoking room still smelled a lot of smoke. Interior quite run done and could do with an upgrade.
Only Japanese breakfast
Large room with a seating area and balcony with open view to the mountains, comfortable beds, free parking. Short walking distance along the river to the very interesting town, lots to see.
