The heating was excessive so I turned the system off completely. So hot! Nevertheless, there was a constant hum in the room, all night, and the sound of water(?) running through pipes in the wall, together with the buzz of the refrigerator, which I could not turn off. How I wanted silence.
Despite the word 'International' in the hotel's name, which implies to me an ability to cater to international guests' needs, only one staff member I encountered could speak any English, and that was extremely limited. Most staff appeared to speak only Japanese and simply stared at me blankly when I spoke English. Nevertheless, we managed to communicate and I found the staff helpful.
The room charge was very reasonable......although the room was very small, albeit adequate for my purpose, which was to spend a night awaiting my flight from New Chitose Airport.
