Great location, friendly staff, spacious room with amazing view!
Room key, wifi connection, breakfast lacked variety.
the view is wonderful but the hotel is not
Like many hotels in Japan this property is totally over rated at 8.7, 7.7 or 6.7 is more realistic. The hotel is well maintained but very old fashioned and service was really not great, completely over priced even for Japan
The room was huge and spacious. Good location with good view.
The view. The Staff. The Location..it was very central and attached to the mall also not too far from the train station
Location of the hotel. Wide hallways, room was furnished simply but classy. We had a room with harbor view, which was breathtaking. Everything was clean, we asked for and got late check out.
Public places (Lobby, coffee shop) had pretentious, garish furniture. Long wait for elevator Lack of ambience in bar, Chinese restaurant Room was very small Breakfast buffet : they are super strict about the time. You need to be finished eating and leave by 10 sharp!!!!
Had a very spacious room on the 53rd floor overlooking the harbor and Tokyo. The view was simply breathtaking! The hotel is very clean and room service very good! Room has an old fashioned key which added to the charm.
Only little 'but' part is the breakfast. The view from the 70th floor is phenomenal, but the food a little uninspiring for such nice hotel.
Convenience to everything.
The view of the bay from our room was breathtaking. The room was spacious, clean and had excellent amenities! The bed was perfectly comfortable and big. Since we booked a club room, we could avail of 2 complimentary drinks during the cocktail hour. Hors d' oeuvres were also served that time. And we could also take part in breakfast buffet the next day. The breakfast was good although the selections were limited. What I loved most about breakfast was the bread. They seemed to be freshly-baked.
Our non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke. The Club Lounge seemed understaffed.
the location rooms food facilities staff
Nice view from the widow. Nice restaurant excellent foods.
GREAT LOCATION. GOOD VIEWS
ONE 1 KEY TO THE ROOM, AND ITS ACTUALLY A KEY.
The room was immaculate, the view beautiful, the staff extremely helpful. they even had a airport bus that left from the hotel several times a day, for a small price. One thing we found was the hotel is attached to a large mall!
the hotel restaurants were very expensive.
Fantastic view of Yokohama bay, amazing view from the rooftop bar
Room (non smoking was requested) was like sleeping in a old ashtray. The expensive food and drinks at the bar were of poor quality and service was sloppy.
Excellent location, the views are outstanding. Staff were highly efficient and friendly.
Too many extras to pay for: entry to health/sports centre, cover charge for the 70th floor lounge, very expensive breakfast, and no free coffee in the room.
High floors with great views of the city and harbor area. Large rooms and we received a free upgrade. Convenient location with easy access from public transport. Lots of bars and restaurants in nearby Landmark plaza (from Asian to American to Italian to German Brauhaus). In all very good value for money.
Expensive breakfast (but many alternatives available in the shopping malls around the hotel). Although rooms are large and the whole hotel looks fine, the style is a bit old fashioned luxurious. Bathroom was rather somber and could use a revamp.
Having to wait for room to be ready after flying all night and travelling down from Narita. It was well after 2 pm. It was a bad start to a holiday in Japan.
Nice lobby Nice large room with great few Very good location in Yokohama
High prices for facilities Entry fee for bar Even in 'newly-renovated' rooms facilities a bit out-dated (luxury 90s feeling rather than luxury 2014)
the view is nice
The room stinked and was very small Decoration was old, 80's style ... Amenities are at the level of a JPY 6000 business hotel all of this for more than 30.000 JPY ...
spacious room. great location, easy access to mall and shops.
Only 1 key. very old fashioned. not enough table space in the room
The cleanless of the room. The comfort of the bed The staff response speed
The TV set and the program The bathroom set doesn't include body lotion. The room key is ordinary key lock with big key.
Exceptional view day and night of the beautiful Yokohama city. Staff were polite. Like all chain hotels, good overall services, beautiful hotel situated at a top spot in Yokohama city, for those visiting I would definitely recommend, unless you are not happy with the items that I didn't like, see in the other box. Bed also top quality, very good sleep like other international chains.
Staff were polite but not friendly. Not overly helpful. I arrived in a car, requested for parking. No one was at the door to help me with my luggage, I had to figure out parking myself and struggle with my luggage upstairs to the lobby to check-in. Even at check-in and after check-in no one bothered to help me with luggage, this is below the standards I expect paying top dollars for the hotel. Hotel was slightly old, over 20 years old, furniture and carpets were well kept and maintained, however obviously areas showing its age are: Lift security, Room security (using castle doors looking keys, while very cool, brings security into question), bathroom facilities, while clean, were not up to latest standards from international chain hotels. NO FACILITIES at night - different to most hotels in Japan, they have vending machines that were in the basement that closes after 10pm, a footbridge connecting to the station where there are convenient stores closes at mid-night. I arrived late at 10:30pm, given the not so helpful staff they did not point any of these out to me, and by the time I figured it out I had to rush to the station convenient store, before they close the bridge access, and also finishes off room services at mid-night. I never expect a world class hotel to have room services actually ends at mid-night in a big city. Overall slightly disappointed with the service and facilities.
A amazing view if you take a room on the bay side
A little bit expensive. But the impressive view as a cost ;-)
The location of the hotel and the view from room are gorgeous. You can have sightseeing nearby, have fun in the play zone across the street or just shopping and enjoy cuisine in the malls.
- view - breakfast - easy shopping in the mall in same building - location in the harbour
I expected much more luxury experience. With this price level, you expect much more service-minded staff - nobody to propose taking your luggage to room or showing you to elevators - in comparison to many other hotels in Japan. Minibar very poorly equiped, only beer and juice - would expect some wine or champagne in that price level hotel. I booked a table in the 70th floor bar in advance to have a drink, when I come I'm seated in the counter - no sea view, even if the place was almost empty. I chose this hotel also because of the pool - the pool is in the fitness center and maybe not same owner than hotel, when I went there, I was told that I cannot go to pool because there are too many people there. I was really disappointed and asked if they can call me in to my room when there are less people, and staff looked really annoyed. Then an older man came and said that they can let me go in. The pool was almost empty!!! I don't know what that was, but there was a old lady in the pool who looked at me in a nasty way and I got impression that I was not welcome there. Not very nice experience. The view was great, but I could not find any place in the hotel to have view to all directions, so I had to go to the publich 69th floor observatory and pay entrance fee for that separately.
