Easy and prompt shuttle service to train station.
Location, location, location. Overpriced! Outdated room.
Staff is very friendly. Big onsen. This is a hotel which has many facilities, on sen, massage chair for free. Karaoke room. In room facilities are very good.
A bit far from Yufuin JR station and Kirin Ko (point of interest in Yufuin). But it is ok to walk as Yufuin is very beautiful place to walk through. Hotel has pick up service but need to call to hotel. I did not use this service.
Clean, spacious room, staff very responsive to any questions/requests.
I really have no complaints. Wish it were a little closer to the train station, but hotel shuttle mitigates inconvenience.
*Great hospitality, we arrived their quite late (20.20), as soon as we called them from station, they picked us up within 5 mins, and they still prepared dinner for us even though it late *View of mountain is the real stunning and you can see it from your room as well as from onsen *Dinner is superb, so many dish, marble meat is very gorgeous *Onsen is clean and large *Location is good, walkable area to station and walking street *We book superior Tatami room (Japanese), very comfort and large, they prepare Yukata inside the room for us base on gender
Price is somewhat expensive, but i believe it is worthy
staff was so kind and nice. room was also clean and neat. every facility we used was good.
Walking distance to town, yet in the peaceful countryside. Amazing views from room and onsen. Plentiful amenities including on site bike rental. Professional, frIendly and helpful staff.
Hallways smelled like cigarette smoke.
Pick up from JR station, big and clean room, very good service staff, a supermarket nearby within 10 mins walk, fast in-room wifi
not their problem but i'd prefer buffet breakfast than Japanese set breakfast
The front desk staff is excellent, very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The two restaurants are excellent. The shuttle service is also excellent. Yufudake Onsen (natural private onsen) is a short 8 minute walk away.
Service from hotel staff was excellent, often exceeded our expectations!
Fantastic service! The staff was very helpful, they offerred a ride to the station on request. Onsen was superb also. Everything was clean. The night was perfect, i hope i could stay longer ^^
Great service! The staff was courteous and sincere. Manager, Mr Tatsukawa has done a great job of training the employees. Best service we experienced on this trip of many stops. Excellent food, try the set dinners and breakfast. You will be surprised. Big, clean rooms with comfortable beds. Onsen was big and clean. We went for the sakura and will return to experience the fall change of colors. Definitely a return visit.
Good service and food. Staff speak good English.
Very nice hotel. Met expectations. There is a Gourmet City Market about 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel.
Good service and food
The staff was very helpful. The facility was very clean and the ofuro had a magnificent view of Mt. Yufu!
Very friendly and provide car service from hotel to train station nice onsen
a bit far to the lake and the major attractions
the dinner and breakfast are very good, room is comfortable, and the yufuin mountain view is amazing.
japanese style room, they didnt help me to make the bed, they even dont explain it.
Definitely will stay at this hotel when I visit Yufuin again. Room is very clean, and they are so friendly! The indoor and outdoor baths are fantanstic!
A bit far away from JR station, but with acceptable walking distance ~20 min.
I like the onsen. The room is spacious and the view was good, facing padi fields and the mountain. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful.
Our room at this hotel was spacious and comfortable, large by Japanese standards. The main downside is that the aircon didn't work, so we had the window open regularly and this let in a smell of sewage prevalent in the hotel car park area. (This was not the usual sulfurous smell we experienced commonly when touring Kyushi, but definitely a sewage smell). The spa area of the hotel was very good - pleasant and clean. The half board multi-course dinner was absolutely super and indeed, beat a kaiseki ryori dinner we'd had the previous two nights, in a far far more expensive and exclusive ryokan, hands down, both in balance and quality of the menu and in the pace of service as well. Breakfast on both mornings was also very good, we particularly loved being served soy milk on a burner, which quickly cooked and set into silken tofu.
The sewage smell to one side of the hotel, in the car park area, directly below our window. One food disappointment was when we decided to eat dinner in the hotel the other night of our booking (which we'd booked as breakfast only). The hotel's second restaurant was overpriced and the quality wasn't excellent either. This was a shame given how good their half board breakfast and dinner plan turned out to be.
Stayed in a traditional tatami room- room was massive for Japanese standards plus had a table and two chairs so we did not have to sit on floor all the time. Provided all the amenities we could possibly need. The onsen baths were excellent, with views of mountain. Most of the time we had the baths to ourselves- afternoons seem to be 'off peak' bathing times
The dining options were not adequate. One restaurant you could only go to if you made a prior reservation, and the second steak restaurant was very expensive for what you got.
Extremely friendly staff. Most staff do not speak English and those that do, only speak a few words. Nice spa (onsen) in the hotel, similar to a European sauna (separate for man/women). Nice village. Relaxed atmosphere. Good Japanese food.
-Information for customers should be in English as well. -This cost of the hotel should include breakfast.
