Clean place, staff professionalism, spa facilities, fast internet connection, rooms very spacious and user friendly in all such as lighting switches controllable from from bed side, satelite TV channels... frankly was great to stay at Crowne Plaza. A bit far from city center business district!

We booked a double room for a very short stay since we had to leave at 3 am next morning for the airport. Upon checking in late in the evening we met relatively unfriendly receptionist and were not informed of any irregularity in the hotel. After having ordered a very expensive pizza & salad (usd 30) we decided to take get ready for the following day by preparing a shower at ca. 10 pm. To our surprise there was no water at all – no tap water, shower water or toilet water. Upon calling reception we were informed that there would be no water available until 8am the next morning, with no explanations or apologies given. After insisting that we needed to wash before our 15 hour flight we were asked “how many buckets do you need?” We ordered our 3 buckets of water, which were delivered by 11pm and asked the receptionist to raise the issue with management and to compensate us for the unacceptable hassle. The next morning, upon check out, we were presented with the full bill with no compensation or apology and nothing had been communicated to the manager on duty. Lying on the reception desk was a paper, backdated to Jan 5th, informing about the water issue – this was clearly not there when we checked in the previous evening. After having demanded the manager to come, we were offered the pizza and salad as compensation. We have travelled around the world and have stayed at both simple and 5- star hotels. We have never encountered an incident such as this, compounded by the lack of communication and understanding that a hotel cannot charge considerable rates and not provide water!

Tasteful, tidy, clean I booked on line for 2 of our firms directors' using 1 of their credit cards in order to guarantee the booking, however it would have been a lot easier & better to have been able to make use of our corporate travel amex credit card to pay in full and then not have them worry about payment upon check in / check out either.

Big room and bed. Good sized bathroom. Efficient staff. Good internet. Pillows were too artificial - too much bounce. When I turned off the master light switch, the AC would go off.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was offered a late check-out at 7pm, as I was on a late evening flight out of Nairobi, and the receptionist said he did not see any reason why I should sit in the lounge / bar for 5-7 hours, when I could be in the comfort of my room instead. Exceptional service! The minibar is also well priced, in comparison to many hotels in this price range. The Spa and Gym areas are very well-equipped and offer a nice place to spend some down-time. The buffet restaurant on the ground floor is entirely reasonable in quality, considering that it is not à la carte. It is easy to plan safaris and city tours from the tourism desk in the lobby. I was refused entry to the fine-dining restaurant on the basis that I was wearing flip-flops (I did not have any other shoes except trainers with me), despite wearing presentable long trousers and a neat shirt. I think the dress code could be a bit relaxed, and take into account the overall appearance of the guest, instead of being fixated on a single item of their clothes.

Clean and spacious room, free WiFi access a last minute scam when you have to go to the airport : we are 3 people traveling together, but the hotel will not give you any option than paying 30$ each, all in one same unique hotel car. A normal taxi would cost less than 20$ for all, but there was not any outside and the hotel would not call any.

It is very beautiful and the staff is very professional. The cleaning service is not discrete. Cleaners come all the time to ask if they can clean. Card system "free room" or "occupied room, no disturb please" on the door can help a lot.
