Score from 70 reviews Good
The bed is bad, the room is bad, the hotel is bad. Very bad rapport quality/price.
I found while I was there that this is the only hotel of its category in Nairobi where you still have to pay for wifi in the room (hourly charge or daily charge which can amount to about $22 US per day if you need it for work)
Staff always have a smile and are always ready to help .the food in both restaurants is great ! Nice cafe, and there is always something going on .
Staff charged us more than 28%tax and added fifty % on to the room. I paid 58£ for WiFi and it did not work, I then found there was no note of this , and had to get a username and password eve evening!
Room was nicely decorated, big. Nice view for the room.
Wi fi was slow, air conditioning was not working,.
Location and staff were excellent.
Didnt offer me more for the cost than other hotels in Nairobi. I believe I can be as secure and comfortable for less cost and its not at the top of my "return to" hotels
1. great security 2. superb manager's especailly Simon, customer service: Alex, beauty salon: Mary and all the other staff, cleaner Rebecca is a delightful lady. 3. toilets downstairs smell and really need to provide staff with correct cleaning materials and show them how to do this. 4. several time given watermelon drink, my favourite after it had turned...so really need to watch this. But overall...even though mosquitoes love me...it was probably the best place to be for security. thank you
toilets downstairs smell and really need to provide staff with correct cleaning materials and show them how to do this.
The sauna and steam bath
That I was not booked on BB
The price is too high for the facilities offered.
I liked the room which had a window you could open, with a mosi net!!!! I shared with my nephew as we on buisness trip and worked late so the room size was great.
no plugs at bedside to charge phone, lighting bit dim. Asked for extension lead and was sent industrial sie extension lead ...and engineer left cables all over room!! lol. Then service in club lounge was good one day, and then left a lot to be desired with chipped milk jugs constantly appearing in front of me....Alex and Jemima and the the cusotmer service manager were great as responded. I was actually too busy to complain, just mentioned in passing to Alex. We then even got a new TV in our room, which they said they would place into the cabinet...seems they forgot! smiles. ........ food in the buffet restaurant was all cold last night. So between mosi bites, and food issue, I find my food stays out of me longer than it stays in............ but overall, the place did the job, price good too.
Outside sitting area
Indooe coffe corner (to small; to many people "waiting".

Good Staff service Safety Good lively breakfast
Old furnishing & need to upgrade
Check in / check out was smooth. Staff very helpful. House keeping good. Hotel relatively quiet.
The furniture is a little old.
Great location , good service and the staff are really helpful and friendly
Transport arrangements to the airport!
Relative loud place Too much security around, which give you a feeling like you stay in a prison! Restaurant facilities not really appropiate; staff not good well trained as well! The Nairobi Serena Hotel is 3 times better and - although a little more expensive - provide much better value for money! The Nairobi Intercontinental is massive used Chinese tourist groups!
The food could be better
The hotel is too old
Club services incl wifi in room, breakfast and dinner in a quiet place.
Wifi is available in the room only against additional charges.
Friendly and helpful staff Football on big screen in the garden
Sauna and attached facilities need refurbishment Lifts were overburdened
Welcome on arrival was ver professional.
The room, especially the shower in the bathroom needs to be modernized. The tv is also outdated .
It was spacious.
Facility in dining.
Location is excellent. The breakfast is pretty good as well. Rooms are good but for the price, they're not special.
The hotel is looking a little aged now. I was here 10 years ago and not much has changed since then. The hotel need a good revamp to bring it in line with other propoerties in the InterContinental group. I was a little dissapointed with Bhandini, again in past years it was really good and justified the hefty menu prices but this time it all looked a little old and the food was mediocre. We ordered some lamb kebabs and these seemed to be cooked from frozen and weren't completely cooked. The waiter was nice but didn't seem surprised when we complained. It certainly did not justify the 12k bill at the end.
the most i like is the restaurants and the laundry service
attendance and answers to the guest request take too long to be solved
