Clean Nice staff Comfortable Good decorated Breakfast +++ Center quite close
Surroundings is dramatic Big and heavy loaded route near Nothing to do near hotel
We arrived late and the staff really looked after us. Rooms a bit poky but good value.
Difficult to find.
The breakfast Six flights of stairs to room, no lift Staff had no interest in guests Unable to supply a proper bill for services
The location was key. We wanted something walking distance to downtown as well as tourist attractions north of downtown such as City Park with it's monkeys and the National Museum. Complimentary wifi and breakfast was also one of the better places we stayed at in Kenya.
There was nothing to not like.
Friendly staff. Very good food in the restaurant. Decent breakfast. Taxis waiting on customers.
Traffic, but the noise was actually not too bad.
Security was good Food was great Room was nice
Location was a bit sketchy, but that may be the same anywhere in Nairobi.
No wireless access in all the rooms
The value for the price was excellent. Rooms were clean and well kept. The staff couldn't have been nicer. It's easy walking distance to the National Museum and Uhuru/Central Parks. The security staff was very attentive.
I'm not sure there are any great locations that are actually in the city of Nairobi anymore. It's all crowded and noisy.
Hotel and staff were very helpful, taxi staff were very helpful and protective as we were guest.
Staff were all the time very focused on satisfaction of hosts
Internet is not working very good
Price was good. Staff is very kind, breakfast was really good, price was right. Rooms kinda tired, but clean and hotel very safe -- two gates, two nightwatchman, etc. Got airport transfer from them, and airport transfer was waiting for us with sign with our names on it, and he couldn't have been kinder. Overall, a good value for money. Internet is fairly fast.
Rooms were kinda tired, but didn't expect more than what we got. Used it for a jet lag hotel, and didn't want to spend big bucks. If you are looking for something classy, this isn't it --but clean, safe, quiet, great staff, and not expensive (or as expensive as many) this is a good choice
Really impressed and appreciated. The staffs were so welcoming and so nice all the time. They are so friendly and make people feel at home with all the excellent service and outstanding dinners and breakfasts. A thumb up for them..
Breakfast was excellent--evening burgers at the grill were very good also
area of hotel not the greatest
The room and shower and the staff were friendly and helpful
The customer service was perfect thank you so much Paul/ Sam/ Micheal and Peter from the wait staff. Eunice /Ann and Rose from the reception were also excellent. We will always choose Kahama Hotel when in Nairobi and recommend to family and friends. Thank you Adrian and Lydia.
Excellent value for money. The room was comfortable. Even though it is located along a busy flyover, it was quiet in the room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a 10 min. walking distance to the Nairobi central business district for easy access to businesses, banks. Private taxi service from the hotel premise is a nice touch. Overall, we enjoyed our 6 night stay at the hotel.
Wi-Fi access in the room is a bit flaky; required power cycling the AP almost every day.
bed comfortable staff very friendly lots of variety at breakfast
bathroom was a little small/narrow not very good soundproofing
Decent breakfast and food in the hotel for a brunch. Taxi drivers are always available in the parking lot of the hotel. if you ask a room on the rear side you at least get no noise from the street while you sleep (but it really depends which side of the hotel your room is).
We would not recommend even for a stop over of 1 day as we did. No air-conditioning and bathroom very small and old. This despite we paid more to get "luxury" comfort room. By the way no lift and we were on 3rd floor. No hairdryer and no possibility to have it!!!! and even get an extra towel is a problem..... Reception very slow in answering/helping on any request. I had to ask 10 times and wait a day to get a receipt. Location is close to center but you always need to a taxi to move as it is in an area plenty of pickpockets. If you walk it is at your own risk.
Clean quiet room (at back go hotel, away from busy road); breakfast
Internet only in lobby;
the friendliness of the staff and the fantastic wifi
We liked it when George showed us some places in Nairobi and answered our questions.
Water pressure in our room was poor.
The breakfast was gorgeous!!!
Location; the pics on site and the room in reality differ (in our case; internet available at the lobby only.
The interior is beautyful, good style. Stuff very helpfull and friendly in any moment. My room was quiet and nice, with good internet access. The shower was perfect, hot and with good pressure.
Bathroom was very small, with the door in the way. Getting to the shower was tricky.
