Hotel La Mada  

Nice and very helpful staff.

No wifi on the 1st floor. Restaurant food took too long on the two occassions I was there.

Great location, very quiet and no noise from traffic at all. Felt very secure, as next door to HQ for National Security, Obliging staff, espec Reception and cleaning staff. Several in our group got sick during our stay and we were helped promptly at all times.

The constant music in the common areas, e.g. bar and terrace, all day and evening, at too high leves so that it wa difficult to talk over. But it was turne down, or off, when requested. Also, is te TV in the bar for the staff or the guests? I think you should show more flexibilty, especially when you know that people are sick and cannot eat food.. We had to pay 200 KES for a bottle of water as we were not 'allowed' to have it instead of breakfast, for which we had paid but not eaten. The pool boy needs to know that iIt is the guest who decided where they would like sunbeds, tables etc placing, and not him.

After confirming my booking, I arrived and was told that the hotel was fully booked. They then took me to another hotel (Oakwood hotel) which they said was part of the hotels, unfortunately that place was old and run down with cockroaches in the room. I had to leave taht hotel the next day. Very noisy because it was in the city centre. La Mada's attitude was very bad and disappointing.

Nice, clean, comfortable hotel in a quiet location.

The restaurant service, unfortunately, was quite poor. The price was a little high.

Beautiful Hotel. Very green, very quiet. Great service at the a la carte breakfast. Nice cold beer at the bar.

Need to check out at 10:30, 25% extra to check out at 10, 50% extra until 2 pm. Wanted to charge me 45 USD to take a hotel taxi to airport, refused, so they got me a normal taxi for 25 usd. Wireless signal did not reach my room. Pool not very clean. Its also remote from the airport.

Hotel were aware that my arrival was at 3.0am but I had to wait until 4.0am before occupying the room while a previous guest checked out of it. This was after a long-haul flight. I arrived at breakfast half hour before the meal session ended to find limited choice at buffet. Throughout, staff were solicitous & apologetic served me food ordered and provided a car to take me to my next destination in Nairobi. However, organisation was below that expected from $139/night hotel. I have stayed in the competition in Nairobi & speak from experience. DP

The staff at the hotel were very caring and made you feel at home. The locations of all mada group hotels in Mara, Amboseli are excellent.

Could develop some facilities for young children, such as play area with swings and kid rides

Felt safe and reception staff were very polite and accomodating. Restaurant service was decent although food was ordinary

Hugely overpriced for what it offered. Room was very shabby and I don't mean shabby chic! Promoted as close to airport but was indeed very far away so not a good choice for an overnight before flying on...

I liked the quiet and green area Internet was ok

However breakfeast was not various TV channels was not various

It has scenic surroundingls

I couldn't take a bath as there was no plug in the bath. The ac remote was not provided so couldn't switch it on. The mattressses were very thin and so were the pillows.
