New Palm Tree Hotel

The staff were very friendly and it was walkable distance to a couple of places we wanted to visit.The rroms had a fridge, a fan and AC as promised.

The bathroom was not as clean, may be hard water makes it terrible but the bath curtain looked dirty.

It was cheap, had a/c, bug nets.

The tv had no sound (and only 4 channels). The included breakfast was pretty poor and took over 30 min to be set up after the start time, delaying departure. No hot water.

Hotel is at the very good location and building is very interesting design with the open air terrace.

Rooms need some renovation, room doors and some furnitures so old. And bathroom definitely needs some action to be taken.

Reasonable low-budget-hotel for Mombasa center, clean, air-conditioned, better than what we expected at the entrance.

The city center itself is not very nice to stay, noisy, poor internet connection and bathroom facilities.

esta centrico , las habitaciones estan bien pero resulta un poco viejo. Son preferibles las habitaciones de la 1º planta ya que estan en la terraza y puedes estar en los sofas que hay en cada puerta .Tiene mosquitera y ac. Preparan un cafe rico abajo en el bar . Dispone de wifi y cyber a la entrada .

El baño podria estar en mejores condiciones , los de las habitaciones y los del bar de abajo .

Buena situación, cerca del centro. Desayuno con tortillas y/o huevos fritos en el acto. Good location, close to the center. Breakfast with omelete and/or fried eggs ad-hoc.

Necessita di una grossa rinnovata ma purtroppo sono le contraddizioni del Africa dove per trovare un hotel di medio livello europeo ci vogliono più di 100 euro a notte che I locali prendono per 1 mese di lavoro

Terrazza al primo piano su cui si affacciano tutte le camere. Non fatevi spaventare dall'aspetto decadente/africano della hall. Acqua calda, pulito condizionatore, personale cortese.

The hotel isn't near the beach, but as it costs only 40 shilllings on a matatu or about 350-400 for a tuk-tuk to the beach, this hotel is a great value for the money. Otherwise it just depends on your personal standards... I've stayed in worse and I've paid a lot more for equal.

The power in our room went out one night and they were nice enough to give us another room, but the other option just wasn't nearly as nice. It took about 24 hours to get the power working again, and then we returned to our original room. It could be far worse, but it was somewhat inconvenient moving back and forth.
