Ocean village was my last stop Rooms were nice rates were good I booked online staff was courteous. Taxi service is available. Internet was not working when I spent a night there
Height of beds too high, air conditioning not adequate
This is a wonderful place for those who want a real vacation. I enjoyed my stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially those at the restaurant.
Have more food varieties. Paid wifi..a no no!
Excellent staff. Beautiful architecture Shower on the balcony is a beautiful surprise. The place is really beautiful and relaxing. The value for money is at 1000, worth every penny. Beach area is a bit secured, you dont get bothered by the beach boys. Manager was always at hand to attend to any issues.
Staff, pool, rooms, beds, food excellent
Wifi very bad
Very nice place with good facilities and staff.
Wi-fi didn't work.
Staff were great, monkeys were kept away, food and drinks were plentiful
Paid for wifi was useless
The staff were great, value for money was amazing. Location was fantastic, right on the beach. The rooms were beautiful, we were upgraded on arrival which was totally unexpected. We had a welcome drink with the manager which was a nice touch. Really enjoyed our stay.
The food wasn't great which was a shame. They ran out of tonic water for 2 days (we missed our G&Ts)! Hardly the end of the world. The entertainment was pretty awful.
nice staff, good food, excellent place for holiday
Grounds were well maintained and very lovely, rooms were large, well-decorated and clean. Right in front of beach.
Food was pretty standard/catered to European palates, not very local
I liked everything from the staff who were very polite to the room. It looked so good. Just a lil upgrade on the food they should have a wider range
This hotel is without doubt one of the best that I have ever stayed in.The rooms are fantastic and the staff really look after you.The location is stunning and the grounds interesting. The food is excellent and the evening entertainment subtle. This is a place for the discerning traveller.
I stayed here for a 3-day short-break following a business trip in Nairobi. In all honesty, I liked everything: - The very well done spacious rooms (that were recently renovated I think) - The grounds: beautifully landscaped; picture-perfect beach - The staff: extremely friendly and helpful - The food: even though it was not so busy, the quality of the food was outstanding And best of all was value-for-money: I would have paid at least double the price for this hotel after my experience... It is a shame that tourism in Kenya has been hit by fears of security etc. (more percpetion than reality) Diani Beach is a perfectly safe place. And from Diani you can still do safari's, diving, kite-surfing etc...
Nothing to complain about! The spa treatment was closed (understandably) but arrangements are made with the neighbouring hotel There is no gym, but there is a tennis court and various other sports to do on the grounds. And a run in the morning along the main road is highly recommended!
The location,service was good.very clean
The food wasn't the best.
i like there room are too spacious & gud
it is not an happening place .less of activities not gud for family to enjoy.Swimming pool reqd should be more bigger
The staff were awesome...so helpful and always friendly. The manager ( Anna) was always available for a chat! My husband and I both loved the outside shower!
The cuisine could have been more varied. More activities would also have been appreciated.
Nice staff, good location, good facilities
Our room was smelly and we asked for a room change but we got told that it is not possible because there was no other room of the same category available however due to low season the hotel was not fully booked.
Really nice apartment with the shower on the balcony, very kind employees of the hotel.
I found it bit strange that there was about 20 channels on our rooms tv but no single Kenyan channel.
8 days of wonderful time in Diani : We have stayed in this hotel for our 15th wedding anniversary. This was our 2nd time in Diani. Our overall stay was simply excellent ! The location of the hotel is perfect, the beach is wonderful, not too close not too far away so that it is not directly effected from the tides. The sand bank of the reef is just 5 minutes sailing you can even swim on your own. The buffet is very rich, the staff is very friendly and efficient. The GM of the Hotel Mr. Carvalho was very kind and generous to upgrade us to a spacious villa on our anniversary day and even to extend us a very extended late c/out. We are greatful to all the staff from top to bottom to make our stay a memorable one.
Unfortunately the official website of the hotel is far from representing the real quality and service of the hotel. I beleive it needs to be improved immediately cause you cannot even find the right tel numbers of the hotel.
Nice relaxing stay, lovely staff. All the best wishes. Only problem with Wi-Fi
Food was fair to good. Buffet only .
cool and relax environment - nice and quiet
nothing we did not like - real good job
Friendly and professional. Great food. Tennis court. There was different program for the evenings every day: Beautiful live music, snakeshow, Masai-dance etc. I also liked the monkeys that lived around the hotel area!
Rooms in first floor are very dark, I did feel like I was living in cave. No phone in the room, no tv, no wifi.
I liked everything about the place except what I going to mention below. The reception and restaurant staff were fantastic, the staff member at the boutique was even more amazing, her name is Lorna.
They didn't have small kids play area or did not facilities that cater for them. It being a resort I was disappointed. The spa was a disaster, the lady there needs serious training about welcoming clients at spa, the ambiance, the music to play, not to answer her phone during treatment & her phone should be on silent, even the treatment itself was terrible. I suggest she goes for training or you find someone with experience. The reservations needs improvement as well. They closed the swimming pool at 6pm and it's extremely hot there, it would have been great if they allowed more time.
Clean rooms Lots of different foods Friendly staff (in general)
The AC did not cool the room. Extra costs for wifi No possibility to call a tuktuk for short rides (for example to the ATM). They insisted you could only take the expensive hotel taxi.
