- The view overlooking the National Park - Breakfast selection - Staff enthusiasm - Speed of check-in/ check-out

- Room service menu limited - Kitchen shuts too early in the main restaurant, due to which menu is again limited - Design of bar area in room and the wall table/chair adjoining create a bottle neck/ restriction of easy movement between the bathroom area and the bed area, leading to stubbed toes !

location was good because it was right next to the park good service friendly staff clean and tidy rooms helpful staff at front desk.

location was bad because of the very expensive "taxi" trip to the airport and town. food was good, although staff were unaware of gluten, and the effects of gluten for sufferers of Celiac disease. If i eat gluten, or my food touches food with gluten in it, i will be sick for up to two weeks. on my first day, i ordered a steak and asked for no sauce, as most sauces have gluten in the form of thickeners. unfortunatly my steak arrive at the table with sauce, and the waitress sent it back to have another meal made for me. when i recieved my second steak, it had no sauce on the meat, and I ate half of it before realising that the mashed potatoes was from the first meal, and had sauce on it. Therefore I have been sick for 3 days with diarrhea as a result of the sauce touching the steak and potatoes. Maybe you could educate your staff about cross contamination and gluten free foods? Maybe you could update your menu to include specifically labeled gluten free meals.

Long wait to get served rooms a little tired

Very close to the airport - always good service.

They seemed to put me in a smoking room without informing me before and 'weren't able' to change the room. I stay at this hotel about once a month when transiting through Nairobi and this is the first time this has happened - annoying, nevertheless.

Its super convenient and easy, particularly on short, transits through Nairobi because of the proximity to the airport. Restaurant/Bar areas are also good for working dinners and quick meetings. But it's a bit expensive for what you get compared to other parts of Kenya/Nairobi - clearly paying for convenience.

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've 'slept' in - extremely had mattress.

The Ole-Sereni is a typical 5 star hotel. I made a good choice reserving a room after a budget safari and stay at a property with few amenities. Nothing like a perfect shower, sublime bed, and typical 5 star breakfast buffet the next day after a rather weathered six days previous. I enjoyed writing in my journal outside, overlooking the Nairobi National Park in the evening and the quick ride to the airport the next day as well.

Fantastic hotel, only stayed one night and had a late check out. Very close to JKIA, only a 10 minute drive. Also took a half day safari in Nairobi national park which was amazing, definitely recommended.

Rooms are very small, no separate bathroom & the hotel rate is too high as I have stayed in several other hotels in Nairobi who offer better value & good sized rooms..

It is a nice comfortable luxury hotel. the staff is nice and attentive and the food is good.

If you need to stay in Nairobi for 1 night and then head straight back to the Airport then i suggest this Hotel for its location. I received excellent help from the Tourist Desk, arranging and booking things over e-mail prior to arrival however once there i found the staff at the Reception Desk extremely unfriendly and they kept us waiting for ages to check in after.

The service in the Restaurant was probably the slowest i have ever received, it took at least 30-40 minutes to receive anything, including a glass of water.. i think they were overly busy when we were there but there were no apologies..

the hotel is located close to airport and very next to park. the staff is really friendly. the room was really well kept. the food was excellent. over all really enjoyed the stay and would always return back here.
