The breakfast is nice.
Our room is in the old building and the bathroom is old. The cashier asked me to pay fee for three rooms even I told her there is one room for three people. I paid one room eventually but felt not professional.
We were starting our vacation and needed an inexpensive room. The room was clean, quiet, and the beds were comfortable. The restuarant was good and the staff was excellent.
1. Staff was very kid and respectful, 2. The technician saved my departure by stepping over the wall of my next room (424) with a lot of courage. He deserves a medal. 3. The backdoor was quickly unlocked when I wanted to go and visit Fairview.
1. Staff at the reception did use my VISA card to take my money on the day of my arrival rather than on the day of departure. This is against regulations. 2. On the morning of my departure the door of my room jammed and I could not get out to go to the airport. 3. The IT person did not manage to solve my IT problems with sometimes no access to the internet.
The friendliness of the staff was great.
I was first placed in an Upgraded Executive suite 024 which the windows did not shut there were gaps at each end of the sliding windows and were very flimsy and totally insecure. There were works going on outside to the kitchen which i had to phone up and get stopped at approximately 1.00 in the morning and probably would have gone on all night!!! Rubble being thrown into wheelbarrows makes one hell of a noise at the dead of night. Not good, I was moved to the sixth floor for the next night.
Being recognized upon arrival as a returned guest. Prompt and courteous attention at the desk. Efficient handling and storage of courier deliveries
Everything except food.
food and buffet spread is not VFM
Location was excellent Staff were very pleasant Price
Collins at the front desk the staff the flowers in the room the balcony the gift shop the restaurant by the pool
I wish there was more Kenyan food on the menu at the restaurant by the front door. Safari arrangements at the front desk.
Food was great-lots of choice Very efficient staff Excellent room
I liked the treatment at the reception but room service is very poor, the rooms were a bit cold but clean. I loved Patrick a driver, he was very helpful
I didn't like the room service, it was poor
Plasma TV Getting a free upgrade The staff - so polite, caring and friendly The food in the restaurant Massage The bed & pillows The sunset view from 6th floor room
Before I got upgraded, the room was a tiny bit dated, and not quite worth the price tag
We were welcomed warmly & enjoyed our room on the 6 th floor . Felt the presence of security very comforting & the friendliness of all staff made our stay very relaxed & enjoyable . We would certainly come back & recommend this hotel
Perhaps a change of menu more regularly would improve the dining experience .
Cleanliness, peaceful and quiet location. Seemed very secure. Customer care very good.
Rooms were small compared to similar sized hotels; Over-enthusiastic concierge (almost seemed like you were being robbed your luggage), but ok. Garden restaurant closes early, not open regularly
I had been booked into a cheaper hotel in Nairobi, which I found to be in an unsafe area. I quickly checked out and moved to the Sarova, where the security is evident, but not stifling, the staff are very accommodating and the food was excellent. Once I checked in there, my Nairobi experience improved immensely. I appreciated that there was a hotel cab on site to arrange tours (for a fee). It was also a great venue to celebrate World Cup - European guests rooting for Germany, and North American guests rooting for Argentina. Makes the world seem smaller and more friendly. I had a great time while staying there.
Lovely, light filled room, nice balcony, very tasty breakfast, extremely helpful and polite staff. Good value, too. Loved it.
all was ok except what I have described in the negative column
saturday june 21, morning breakfast encounter with the woman doing the table sitting was terrible. she was rude to me, she called my name three times doubting me until I showed her my room key. she stated someone else was booked into my room 504 and never apologized to me, nor identify the other person who was booked into the room
Good staff who paid attention to needs. Very good selection for breakfast. Room cleaned thoroughly and staff attentive to requests for extras etc.
TV in room a bit dated so difficult to see what was going on in Wimbledon matches. But good, large flat screens in bars. Tuskers a bit pricey compared with other 5* hotels.
Like every other review its all about the staff here Really great. I had to take a taxi late at night and I had three staff members plus the duty driver assist me in finding my location. The bar is rather inviting for an end day drink or a elbow bender later on with some friends. Had a serious great late night burger from room service, just saying! Great value for the money and I will be back.
Sadly the rooms appear dated somewhat. The bed is inviting but the washroom is kind of old (still clean) and begs an update. Oh, and the balcony is great so put some chairs and or a love seat and small coffee table out there.
Staff were polite and helpful. Food was good and service quick. The room was clean and spacious enough for the price.
While having dinner we were a bit "hassled" about more drinks. We were quite happy to order more when ready rather than being asked so many times. The mattress was a bit hard. The TV was really old which was unexpected for a hotel of this category.
Everyone was very helpful and nice. The room was good, the staff was friendly, and the food wasn't too bad.
It was about 45 min from the airport and the hotel was not in a walking friendly place - no stores or parks near by to walk to. Everywhere you went you had to take a cab. However we had a very nice stay.
Had an incident where the staff entered the room knowing I was sleeping, just to inform me that I had to checkout or pay for an extra day at reception. I checked out and went to a better hotel immediately! I'm a regular traveller and stay at hotels all over the world, but have never seen such terrible hospitality!
Security Restaurant Quick response from staff
This hotel has a very noisy location, next to two an intersection of two of Nairobis most trafficked avenues. The hotel is very poorly managed and in need of a new competent management.
Good environment, Response from staffs, all..
the friendliness and readiness of the staff
the single restaurant in the hotel was just fair; and the offering transportation to the airport was a little bit expensive.
