The room is very nice ,I like it . I have lived there 6days ,but after 3days ,no boby clean the room ,this is very bad . I have asked the reception that we stayed there more than 3 days ,needed the visa on arrival ,they told me who give us ci then is ok ,when we arrived the airport ,the policemen told us it isn't useful and we have payed penalty usd80 ,Sad !!!!!! it is hotel problem!!!

Friendly helpfull staff, many speak English. Comfortable room. Water boiler failed in my room the first night of my three night stay, was not repaired during the following day, at my suggestion I was relocated to the sister hotel 'Deluxe Hotel'. Grand Hotel is a little too far from the centre of Bishkek, 15/20 minute taxi ride to centre. Deluxe Hotel closer to centre, however the Deluxe does not have a restaurant and there is nowhere to eat nearby !

The hotel is centrally located, newly built and very clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly, eg they have a deal with a local and very reliable taxi company, whose drivers are them excellent. Cars come on time and the drivers know the way. Airport transfers too. WiFi works -- well in the lobby a bit worse in the rooms. Speed okay. Rooms comfortable but nothing to see from the windows. The place was fine for my purposes -- a short stay in town to renew my Kazakh visa with attendant ridiculous procedures. Kirghizia in a sensible and civilised manner lets Brits in with no visa hassles whatsoever. The hotel's style is sweetly "Central Asia Modern", that is, it follows the rule "to make something grand, paint it gold"! So there's plenty of gold-painted bricks, shiny silvery curtains, and deep flock wallpaper for amateurs of the genre. Happily recommend for a short stay.

Clean and well furnished. Service was terrible. I was forced to pay extra for checking in early, though when I arrived and told the desk clerk I'd come back in the evening to check in (I just didn't want to lose my room), she urged me to check in early and said nothing about the cost. I had to deal with two different clerks to try to straighten out the issue, but was rebutted by both and forced to pay an extra 1/3 the cost of my room. Very unprofessional.
