We found everything we wanted in this hotel - clean rooms, good equipment, nice design. The room has everything you may need: large wardrobe, comfy bed, tables, nice bathroom, hairdryer. You can ask staff to iron things. Breakfast with smorgasbord was wonderful. High speed Wi-Fi Internet in room and hotel area. The size of the room is optimum. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed our stay in executive room and service proposed. Excellent service and professional staff! The location of the Hotel was fabulous. Excellent welcome, an upgrade, generous and quiet room and sumptuous smorgasbord - what more could one want? We could also use the hotel facility for my business meetings.
1 - air con in the room. 2 - good breakfast (but see what I didn't like), 3 - helpful staff re use of IT facilities to check-in online for my outbound flight.
1 - I had to leave 3 hours before the breakfast I'd paid for so was given a packed breakfast to eat in the airport. It was terrible - three fruits (inc a part-rotten apple) and one small yoghurt - with no spoon!! 2 - a charge of $5 per hour for early check-in - never been charged that before anywhere. 3 - a friend was 'ejected' from his room some 3.5 hours before the advertised check-out time (even packed his rucksack while he was at breakfast and brought it down).
Room service was amazing. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. I arrived at 08 am and the stuff kindly checked me in, no questions asked. Rooms were extremely clean, towels and bed sheets were whitest that hotel can give. Wi-fi in the hotel was high speed and stable. The smorgasbord is very good. I left at 7.30 am, the check out was very fast.
no swimming pool
Excellent value and competent English speaking staff
A bit far from the centre but OK if you know you way around
Room publicized not what actually offered. Unfriendly service. Uncomfortable bed. Hotel organised to rip you off on any opportunity they get
I had a confirmed booking for July 13th. When I arrived there was no room for me and I was told to go to another (far away) hotel. I insisited of my booking and after quite a long time they found a letter saying that me and 4 others should stay at the Shah Hotel.
I liked the staff, all members were high caliber qualified team, professional & kind.
staff helpful, quieter area than some hotels, room was clean
rooms a little small for the price, hotel a bit out of the way for easy access to restaurants etc
Everting is good , just food is so so.
The breakfast was excellent.
The bed - not comfortable.
Excellent staff - warm welcome & farewell even with quite a short stay. I would recommend Grand Hotel to everyone coming to see Bishkek and looking for comfortable stay for acceptable bill with sights reachable easy.
Booked one room, gave totally different. Kinda deceiving clients. No prior notification of change.
Overall I thought that this hotel was good value for money. It has clean rooms and helpful English-speaking staff. One of the receptionists went to some trouble to book me into another hotel in Bishkek as the Grand Hotel was due to be fully booked on my return from a tour of Kyrgyzstan. The laundry service was prompt and efficient.
The breakfast isn't up to much by western tastes. The internet was unreliable but I think that this is a problem with all hotels with Bishkek as opposed to being a problem with this hotel in particular.
We stayed here for one nights. The hotel is cozy and clean. Pros - Ulia was very quick to respond to all our mails very effectively. She was able to guide us, about which we were quite apprehensive. She also got us a guide for touring, which cost us much... She arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport. Hotel staff mapped out a route of sights to see for us. They also provided us with several recommendations for restaurants which were all delicious. I highly recommend the Grand Hotel to travelers...you won't be disappointed!
No MiniBar, Cold Rooms, No Working Desk in Rooms,
Staff was friendly and professional, premises were clean.
Wi-Fi was no accessible in all rooms
Obviously, value for money, in particular in comparison with other similar hotel rates. Free of charge reasonable speed Wi-Fi was a pleasant surprise. Nice reception people.
One of the nights was very noisy - I heard each and every late guest in the corridor. Cleaning of the rooms might have been better - after day 1 needed to ask for finalising the cleaning properly. One needs to ask for "real" coffee, Nescafe is somehow too popular in the place. Getting instant coffee for breakfast was a bit of a shock the first day. However, if one asks, it is possible to get "real" coffee as well. No lift detected, one has to carry suitcases to the 2nd or 3rd floor by the staircase.
easy , good location , clean , wifi was good . comfortable good rooms
Staff was friendly, hotel's garden with a small fountain was very beautiful
Location is fine but you might better call for taxi if you need to get to the city (not due to the distance but for comfort)
Frigerator was empty Noise during sleep Breakfast was not good Service is not efficient Shortage of staffing
A regular, spotless hotel. It's a nice walk to the central areas of the city.
Staff very kind....room and hotel clean, all it was ok in according with price/quality.
