Location, hard to find it, even for the local tuktuk drivers. Breakfast is a little bit simple.
The garden of the hotel is very nice to stay and the swimming pool is also very good. The staff here is all friendly and helpful.
Location - I wanted a bit of a secluded place. Pool was clean and got lots of sun. Food was excellent.
The room and pool are very good, the staff is incredibly nice and thoughtfull and you are just 5 minutes (U$S 3) from the Pub Street by tuk-tuk, which is great becaue you don't hav to walk back to the Hotel after a long da of walking in the Angkor ruins.
Difficult to find - no sign visible from the main road Not a boutique hotel - standard place
Super friendly and helpful staff Good location, quite place, little outside but close to main road, temples and city center
We liked the cozy and welcoming feel at the hotel. The beautiful flowers in the area around the pool were wonderful. The pool was outside and was very inviting. We don't usually use hotel pools, but we were in this pool each day of our stay.
Quiet off highway location so no passing traffic noise.
There is no sign on main road stating where it is!
Everything. We had a terrible experience at another hotel and had to quickly find other accommodation in our price range. Siem Reap was quite full and we chose this (without looking at the details) because they had room. The place was amazing we were so happy to find something like this. It was more than we could have hoped for. Thank you so much turned a disaster into a great time. We would have stayed longer if rooms were available.
There was a small problem at the door. It's a slide door and the "sponge" linking the 2 doors was missing on the bottom half but it was not a problem.
The Hotel is very quiet and really deserves the name "Tropic". Full of plants and very quiet. The room was very good and the value for money really pays off. The stuff is very helpful, the pool is great. I fully recommend this hotel.
It was great to be away from the crowds of the main town. Bathroom flooded everyday. Don't bother ordering the hotel food - expensive and poor quality. Make sure you get down early for breakfast as it doesn't get replenished. Staff are wonderful though.
This is a hidden treasure down a lane. Great rooms and pool...food was also great
The water had a terrible sulphur smell.
Staff in restaurant a bit unexperienced
Secluded and with a nice pool. Nice and friendly staff. Close to Angkor Wat. Breakfast good.
Nothing although more vegetarian choice would have been good.
Superb hotel, helpful friendly staff. Pool surrounded by flowers and greenery. Great place.
It's not really in walking distance from the Pub Street area, if that's what you're looking for. It is, however, located relatively closely to the park entrance and the Angkor Wat temple. Hotel rents out bikes and tuk tuks are usually waiting at the hotel entrance. So for us the location was good a basis for visits anywhere!
Everything!! Very friendly staff (especially Mr. Lous Khan), nice and quiet rooms that felt like you were in a resort, lots of complimentary items (bottles of water, flip flops, bathrobes, toiletries), fridge in the room, the option to book tours through the hotel as well as the possibility to rent bikes, nice pool, good airco, strong and fast wifi. We very much enjoyed the complimentary airport pick up by tuk tuk. The driver (Mr. Troy) welcomed us very kindly, offered us bottles of water, and even showed us some things along the way to the hotel (incl. Angkor Wat temple).
The staff was amazing. Helped us book a guide, quick response to requests, good food, so friendly
Loved this hotel the staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful garden with a pool. Reasonable price, good breakfast and near to Ankorwat temple. We are really appreciated for best staff. They were always smile and always help us. We were in hurry so we didn't say thank you enough. Thank you and we really would like to stay again! Good luck from Korea!
We have booked this hotel on the strength of Booking.com reviews and was not disappointed. Great value, very clean and well appointed delax rooms and the pool area. The friendliness of the staff and the location of the hotel are great
Weddings nearby noisy but they stopped around 8:00 pm
Staff very friendly and helpful, good breakfast. Good location. Nice pool
One afternoon relaxing by the pool was impacted by a nearby venue using a loud speaker to make announcements. Don't know if this is a regular thing, didn't bother asking what it was. Easy to ignore these noises and carry on relaxing, it was just a bit odd
Lovely stay. Staff are exceptional. Pool is great. Good menu. Ideally located for Angkor
my only gripe bar shut to early
hotel doesn't have entrance on the main road, the aisle is just ok for tuktuk (car with troubles), prices agreed at the reception for a tuktuk (either to the city or to Angkor) had always some exceptions in reality
specious room, complimentary water, clean swimming pool
Breakfast was not eatable, processed food with flies over their tiny amount of fruits. We end up only taking tea and coffe from breakfast. I booked this hotel based on high rating and reviews from other guests and I think we should be realistic when reviewing an accommodation as it is misleading. There was no hangers or towel holders in their large and non-functional bathrooms. Shower went cold after 5 minutes every time we took shower and when complaining there was no help. Internet was poor and no connection in numerous times.
Spacious rooms, polite but clueless staff
Breakfast buffet. Bread was nice but the warm buffet was very bad, rice wasn't fresh made for instance. Jam looked like some sort of jelly. Yoghurt had already sugar in it.
Nice bathroom, spacious room, friendly staf. Welcome present was very pleasant: red wine and fruit.
